Crowne Plaza Yantai Sea View

The hotel's location is a bit south, but it's quite close to the Yangma Island area. It's one of the tallest buildings around, visible from a great distance. Rooms on higher floors offer expansive views of the sea, Fisherman's Wharf, Huanghai Pearl, and Yangma Island. On the first floor, next to the buffet breakfast area, there's a small kids' play area, perfect for children to enjoy while adults eat. The only downside was that after 3 PM, there were a lot of check-ins, and the front desk was severely understaffed, leading to very long queues and a poor experience.

To be honest, the facilities are indeed old, but considering the hotel opened a long time ago, the overall stay was still a five-star experience. It lives up to its reputation as an old-brand five-star hotel. Although the facilities are a bit dated, the hygiene is impeccable, the service is excellent, and the breakfast is very rich. The location and environment are also superb, with stunning sea views and a great overall vista. It's very close to Fun Waves Beach, and the revolving buffet on the top floor is also quite good. It's very suitable for a family vacation with kids and offers good value for money.

The hotel boasts breathtaking sea views. The breakfast selection is extensive. The service attitude is excellent. The overall environment is clean. However, the facilities are a bit dated. The swimming pool is quite good.

This is a belated good review because I totally forgot about it while having fun with friends in Qingdao the past two days, haha! Overall, my stay at the Crowne Plaza Nanshan in Qingdao was fantastic. What surprised me most was that the sea view right outside the hotel was just as stunning as those famous attractions. If I had known, I wouldn't have bothered rushing to all those sights. The hotel is surrounded by numerous bus routes, and you can reach most attractions by bus without even needing to transfer. Plus, you can enjoy the sea view right from the bus – it was my first time experiencing that, and it was truly delightful. The hotel's cleanliness, service, and dining were also excellent, making my stay very enjoyable. My only regret is that I didn't get a chance to try the revolving restaurant on the 47th floor, but that just gives me an excuse to come back next time! See you again, Crowne Plaza Nanshan Yantai! 🫡

Great value for money, and close to the beach! While the location isn't super central, the surrounding scenery is quite nice and it's relatively quiet. There are plenty of relaxed coffee shops by the sea nearby.

I initially chose the Crowne Plaza Yantai Nanshan primarily for its excellent location (situated in the university town and adjacent to the Yantai International Expo Center). On the day of my arrival, Cassie at the front desk handled my check-in. She thoroughly asked about my needs and gave me a warm welcome, which made me feel very much at ease. During my stay, I accidentally dropped a whole roll of toilet paper on the bathroom floor. Given how absorbent toilet paper is, two-thirds of it was soaked by the time I picked it up, and no matter how much I tried to wring it out, it was no use. I reluctantly called the front desk for help, and Dasiy, who answered the phone, quickly contacted housekeeping to bring a new roll to my room. Although it wasn't a major issue, the professional service provided by the hotel staff made me feel incredibly cared for. It's true what they say, "Even an old Ferrari is still a Ferrari." On a special note, the hotel has ample parking spaces and a dedicated charging area. I highly recommend the Crowne Plaza Yantai Nanshan for anyone visiting Yantai.

I had a great experience staying at the Crowne Plaza Yantai before, so this time I contacted guest relations manager Sun Dongxiao in advance. Manager Sun arranged a fantastic room that was spacious and bright, perfect for hosting friends. This time, I also tried the Executive Lounge, which was quiet and elegant, and the lovely staff there provided excellent service. The next morning, I had breakfast on the first floor. The breakfast now is just average; it's definitely been scaled back compared to before. Facilities: Most facilities are just like those in a newly opened hotel. Hygiene: The room was very clean. I always saw staff cleaning the public areas when I passed by, which was nice. Service: The front desk, concierge, and Executive Lounge staff were all proactive and very polite. Executive Privileges (sea view afternoon tea, evening cocktails): The lounge offers a beautiful sea view, and the cocktails were excellent.

An old, opulent hotel, its age doesn't detract from the living experience; it's quite comfortable. Outside the window, there's a vast black pine forest. Walking along the street beside it while strolling downstairs was quite breathtaking. I admire the people of Yantai for planting such a large black pine forest to protect their home!
