When we arrived there's was no air con in the reception, bar and restaurant for 2 days which was quite stifling. There are many positives and negatives to this hotel . Staff where really great Bilal, mouana, yaya all 10/10 . But hotel needs upgrading.

Where to start… Hotel is lovely and spacious, Rooms are ok, not the biggest but for 2 people who only plan on sleeping in there they will do. However: The shower is not connected to the wall properly and neither was the towel rack. The room wasn’t cleaned the entire time we were there, only beds made. No towels for two days and even ran out of toilet paper and had to wait 8 hours for it to be restocked. The food is the same and I mean the same for lunch and dinner , absolutely no variation at all. I never want to see a beef stir fry again. Tunisian restaurant was really lovely and the highlight of the trip but the Italian was awful. Mohammed Ali (by the pool bar/main bar/ anywhere you can find him in the hotel) is fantastic and a true representation of how service should be, as well as the staff in the lounge bar in the evenings. Also the lobby bar waiters are lovely! The animation team guys are wonderful and really bring energy to the hotel and I have to say the aqua gym is the best I have ever done on a holiday. Now to the main reason this hotel is no where near a 4 star. Day 1 the poor bar, I waited my turn to be served and another guest came up and ordered ahead of me he said this lady was first however because I wasn’t the “boss” (ie because I hadn’t of tipped the waiter yet) I was waved off by Fadie (the waiter at the pool bar) and told don’t worry about her it’s about the boss… which is inherently rude and unnessesary never have I been dismissed from a bar before. when I was eventually served 10 minutes later as to which Fadie sarcastically said you ok… and then made a tip motion. Over the course of the two weeks we’ve been here he has either refused to serve without a tip or serves incredibly slowly on purpose and suddenly will speed up when a tip is given. He had even given me a beer in a small paper coffee cup when I ordered at the bar despite giving all others plastic cups and glasses because I hadn’t of tipped or because he didn’t like me it’s hard to say which but he did ruin my holiday experience and meant that I didn’t feel comfortable using the pool bar. It seems certain staff members run on a basis of if you tip then you get service sorry but a tip should be earned not required. However the only hero of the bar should be Karim he has been fabulous and he truly made us feel special everyday by bringing us drinks everyday without having to ask. (Even in glasses or plastic cups not paper coffee ones…) The lifeguards in the morning are very attentive however after a few days they will start seeking tips to save your beds even going as far as making tip motions. Then if you don’t tip you get ignored. I could leave a few tips for this hotel but they wouldn’t be money.

we are now in the vinci marillia hotel. We are positively surprised. Everything is perfect. The best animators. The food is delicious. The rooms are clean and large. I will miss yaya and zizou.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

We had amazing experience especially with the animation team. Amazing staff , excellent entertainment for the family, very friendly!! Disco and theatre very funny and entertaining we been going to the show every day!! Thank you so much for the animation team Especially Yaya

Hâd a beautiful week în this hotel, the room was very clean, good pool with cooling water, beautiful selection of local and continental food, very friendly staff, our chef Jamel was spoiling us with best wines and a welcoming attention. Definately Would come back again.

This is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. Airpot to hotel approx 40 mins. Check in was easy but we had to wait a while for the room. We arrived just before lunch so was told to leave suitcases etc and have lunch. Room still not ready but we changed into swimming things and had couple hrs by pool. Porter took our suitcases to room, we didnt have dinar yet but all staff happy to take pound coins. Room was lovely nice big comfy bed tea and coffee facilities s and small fridge. Room cleaned everyday if you want sheets changed you just leave the note on the pillow. If you want active poolside entertainment then this may not be for you, they have aqua aerobics in the morning which is followed by 1 game and hotel dance. but apart from that other acivities are on the beach volleyball etc. They had a pool foam party one day which was fun. We had chilled out time by pool which is biggest pool ive seen in sahotel with mellow music, pool staff are great and if you do tip they look after you, bringong drinks and will reserve beds for you. The beach is lovely and had a few swims in sea.. There were some jellyfish but dont think they stung anyone. The cabanas looked lovely but didnt use, you have to order from a la carte restaurant for food and drinks pricrs not too bad we will def do this next time we stay. The food is great with lots of variety, the snack bar has. Lots of vatiety too and seves waffles pancakes etc in the afternoon as well as a whole range of other things. You can book 1 visit to tunisian and italian restaurant, we didnt make use of this as were happy with food in the restaurants. Entertainment team were great very friendly and not pushy. They provide all shows etc in amphitheatre.. Take a drink with you. We visted the disco a few times which was hot but very good.. Again take a drink with you. Get from the bar nr reception, the barmen hete are great and very friendly. The onsite shop has variety of things.. No prices though so do not accept first price he gives you, as he will take advantage. There ate other shops just outside hotel one just across rd to the left was great. Overall an excellent holiday and will definately return.
