A beautiful homestay! The room was spotless, the facilities were new, and it was very quiet. The smart home control system throughout the house was also super convenient. The small balcony was so cozy, I was a little sad to leave. The owners were incredibly warm and welcoming – always greeting us with a smile when we left and returned. And their little black dog was so well-behaved, always lounging by the entrance like a tiny doorman. The experience was truly excellent, choosing to stay here was absolutely the right decision! We'll definitely be back!

The kind and thoughtful landlady gave us a wonderful surprise, offering a complimentary room upgrade that instantly elevated our entire stay. The homestay was very conveniently located. The pace of our entire trip naturally slowed down. We strolled along the ancient streets in the morning and wandered through the lotus ponds and rice paddies in the evening breeze, immersing ourselves in the unique relaxation and tranquility of the ancient village. After each trip, the landlady would thoughtfully prepare freshly ground coffee, fragrant green tea, and seasonal fruits – a leisurely and pleasant afternoon tea that became a comforting little joy during our journey. The rooms were spotless, the bedding soft and comfortable against the skin, and the bathrooms clean and dry. Every exquisite detail reflected the owner's meticulous aesthetic sense and attentive care. There was even a small refrigerator stocked with complimentary fruit and drinks. We ate all three meals at the guesthouse during our trip, and the food was varied and delicious—the owner's superb culinary skills deserve high praise! We initially wanted to stay in a hotel for the kids, but were worried that the guesthouses in the scenic area would be too old. After researching for ages, we found this amazing guesthouse! Just like the reviews said, the owners, a husband and wife, were very welcoming and had a great attitude. The house was new and clean, and the location was excellent. It was so convenient – ​​perfect for taking photos and exploring before heading back to the room to rest. We were so glad we cancelled our hotel reservation in the town and stayed here instead. Oh, and the owner's cooking was delicious, so we didn't have to go out to find food. I'll definitely recommend it to any friends who come here!

People flock to Huizhou, half for the ancient villages, half for a place of peace and tranquility. Hidden in the alleys of Xidi, Shannai is a courtyard that blends the spirit of Huizhou with gentle, everyday life. Outside, the undulating horse-head walls and winding bluestone paths lead into the deep alleys; pushing open the door reveals a private courtyard. White walls reflect the shadows of trees, the courtyard is fragrant with plants, and a soaking tub offers a touch of rustic warmth. No need to chase the crowds of the ancient village, no need to compromise your hurried itinerary. Outside, the ancient charm of Huizhou architecture lingers; inside, modern relaxation and comfort are perfectly balanced. Here, time slows down. No need to travel far for tranquility; staying at Shannai is the true way to experience Xidi, leaving worldly worries outside the walls, simply enjoying the tranquil breeze and a few days of peace.

The guesthouse is located within the scenic area, a five- or six-minute walk from the archway, which is very convenient. The rooms are large and comfortable, with new facilities, including a smart toilet and smart curtains controlled by Xiao Ai (Xiaomi's AI assistant).
