Tianshu Courtyard (Lizhuang Ancient Town)

The hotel's location is excellent, right inside the ancient town and very close to the entrance. The room was spacious. Although I was told before arrival that the gas was off and there was construction outside, it didn't affect showering as the weather was warm. My river view room offered stunning views of the Yangtze River. Because of the gas outage, breakfast was provided at a more upscale hotel nearby, which was absolutely delicious 😋. The service was also very thoughtful; the room card allowed unlimited free rides on the ancient town's shuttle bus. The only minor drawback was that the road construction outside the hotel will continue until September, meaning the shuttle bus can't reach the entrance directly, so there's about a 200-meter walk to catch it.

The B&B has a great location and a lovely environment, truly a river-view guesthouse. The courtyard suite we stayed in last night was super spacious, clean, and well-equipped. We also got free access to the scenic shuttle bus and breakfast. The staff were friendly, enthusiastic, and provided excellent service, all at a reasonable price – it completely exceeded my expectations. The only downsides are that the B&B doesn't have parking, breakfast is a 600-meter walk to another location, and there's no elevator in the guesthouse!

My family was very satisfied with our stay in Lizhuang this time. Everything was great, except for the slightly inconvenient parking. First, the hotel's location on the very edge of Lizhuang made for a wonderfully quiet stay. Being able to use the sightseeing shuttle unlimited times with our room card was super convenient, especially since we were traveling with elderly family members and children. We had a river view room with a balcony overlooking the river, and the morning air was lovely. The room itself was very spacious, and the bathroom facilities were excellent. Breakfast was served at a local restaurant down the street, and the food was delicious. I especially recommend trying Auntie's button mushroom noodles!
