BJG Swan Lake Hot Spring Hotel

We had a fantastic family trip staying at the Baojing Palace Swan Lake Hot Spring Hotel! The environment is beautiful, with stunning lake and mountain views and fresh air. The room was clean and comfortable, and the Chayu hot springs offered many pools of different sizes, which the kids absolutely loved. The hotel facilities are excellent and it's located right within the resort area, offering a rich variety of activities. The breakfast was delicious, and parking was convenient. It's perfect for a short hot spring getaway with children, highly recommended!

Seriously, avoid this hotel at all costs! Forget about the holiday prices; it's worse than a basic budget hotel. The cleanliness alone is disgusting. I just lightly wiped a surface with a tissue, and it came away yellow – you can imagine how bad it was. And don't even get me started on the hot springs; what you can see with your own eyes is already filthy, so imagine what you *can't* see.

The hotel is a bit old, but it's quite spacious and offers a variety of recreational and sports activities, making it suitable for a holiday. It seems to cater mostly to groups, as I saw many elderly people at breakfast.

The hotel boasts fantastic views and spacious rooms, located right within the scenic area. There's a rich variety of activities and attractions, including hot springs, a family swimming pool, boat rides, a playground, bonfire parties, fireworks, and a cave. Our child absolutely loved the dinosaur-themed family suite. Front desk staff member Zheng Jun was exceptionally warm and responsible, always ready to answer questions and provide assistance immediately. Our whole family had a wonderful Mid-Autumn Festival here.

Extremely close to the high-speed train station, just a 15-minute journey. The hotel butler added me on WeChat in advance to communicate my needs. The hotel facilities are also very comprehensive. Baoling Palace and Swan Lake Amusement Park are right next door. You can book many activities directly through the hotel. There are several swimming pools and hot springs, making it perfect for a vacation. However, the cleanliness could use some improvement.

The hotel is located right inside the Baojing Palace scenic area, very close to the grottoes, making it super convenient to access the attractions. The restaurant food was decent, the taste was acceptable. The hotel is indeed a bit old, and the facilities show their age. If the room windows were cleaned better, the overall stay experience would be much improved. We were upgraded to a lake view room, and the view was lovely; it was quite pleasant to pull back the curtains in the morning and look out at the lake. There's a shuttle service to the hot springs, so you don't have to bother with transportation yourself, which is very convenient. Overall, the value for money isn't great, but it's suitable for staying a night if you're visiting the scenic area.

I've stayed at Baojing Palace three times, and each time the hygiene has been worse than the last. This time, the room assigned was right next to the drainage outlet, so all the dirt and grime collected there. The water surface was visibly oily and full of leaves, and it was even clogged. After swimming, I contracted a chickenpox-like virus. It was an extremely unpleasant experience.
