OMO7 Yokohama by Hoshino Resorts

The hotel location is great, right outside the south exit of Kannai Station, with a supermarket nearby. However, the hotel layout is a long narrow strip with elevators on only one side. The room we were assigned this time was at the very end of the corridor—extremely far from the elevators—and faced the station, so it was very noisy. Also, no drinking water is provided in the room; having to get water from the dispenser next to the elevator was quite inconvenient. Overall, it doesn't live up to a five-star standard or price tag. If it were a standard budget hotel, I'd find it more acceptable.

This hotel was very comfortable, mainly because it's so close to the station and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. The location was also great for evening sightseeing, which we really enjoyed. Watching the baseball game from Hammaterasu was the best. I was so surprised because I didn't expect to be able to see a baseball game!

The location is fantastic. The Red Brick Warehouse, Chinatown, and Yamashita Park are all within walking distance. The hotel also has a classic, calm atmosphere. However, there was one unfortunate thing… The room above the stairs in the 'yagura' (loft) room was incredibly hot. I tried sleeping with the AC set to 23°C, but it was too uncomfortable. Even at 21°C on rapid cooling, it only felt slightly cooler, which was a subtle improvement. I initially wondered why there was a circulator running, then realized it was to circulate the air. Even with the circulator on its highest setting, it wasn't a comfortable temperature, so I ended up sleeping on the sofa below the 'yagura' (the motor noise was loud). I'm not particularly sensitive to heat, but the air conditioning was subpar no matter where I slept in the room. For reference, my home AC is always set to 26.5°C. The bathroom was great, though; the tub was spacious, and I could stretch my legs out comfortably. It made me wish I had brought a bath bomb. Next time, I'd like to try a different room type.

The hotel is quite new and our quadruple room was spacious with a modern design. We really enjoyed our stay, though there was a slight new-room smell, so those sensitive to that might want to consider other options. The hotel's location right next to the station was very convenient for getting around.

I discovered this hotel earlier this year while doing the Conan Stamp Rally in Yokohama. At the time, I didn't even realize it was a hotel; I just thought it was some famous architecture. But it was a hotel, and truly, it was worth every penny – the facilities and service were top-notch. The high ceilings made it feel spacious, and I loved that the bathtub, sink, and toilet were all separate. The bathtub was also wide and long. The first floor has a lobby, and the second floor has a cafeteria/restaurant/library-like lounge with plenty of relaxation areas. From the rooftop, I could even see Yokohama Stadium and watch baseball games. It felt like I had the best summer vacation ever! It's definitely one of the places I want to visit again!!

This was a trip I booked for my mom. The location is excellent, right next to a stadium (though my mom isn't into sports). There's also a rooftop bar and jazz festival, which is perfect for free spirits. It's not too far from downtown Yokohama, but also not so close that it feels noisy. The only downside was no welcome drink, which my mom was a little disappointed about, haha. She had one at an OMO in Asahikawa before and was looking forward to it. But overall, it was a good experience, and I'd recommend it to friends and family!

We were a group of five, and the room layout was spacious with a great overall design. It was clean and well-maintained. The second and top floors were fantastic; from the rooftop, you could even see the Yokohama Baseball Stadium. The nearby train stations made getting around incredibly convenient.
