Richmond Hotel Yokohama Ekimae

The twin room was quite spacious, and I loved that the toilet and shower/bathroom were separate! Richmond's quality is consistently excellent, as always. Besides coffee, they also offer a great selection of flavored herbal teas!

Overall, a good choice. It's very close to the station, and the breakfast is great, though the air conditioning was quite cold. The self check-in was modern and convenient, and there were welcome drinks and snacks. Good value for money. The breakfast selection wasn't huge, but it was tasty.

The room was spotless and well-maintained. Downstairs, you'll find everything you need: a convenience store, a drugstore, a yakiniku restaurant, a ramen shop, and an izakaya. It's incredibly close to the station, making it super convenient to get to all the nearby attractions.

It's about an 8-minute walk from the station, which isn't far at all. The first time, it might take a bit longer if you're not familiar with the way. Downstairs, there's a drugstore, convenience store, and mall, so food and drinks are easily accessible. The breakfast is similar to other Richmond hotels, good for one day. Toiletries are still self-selected, and the room size is quite generous, perfectly fine for staying with kids. There are water dispensers on every floor by the elevator, and an ice machine on the 7th floor. Self check-in for room cards has a Chinese interface.

Self check-in on the 4th floor was straightforward enough. The breakfast vouchers printed together with the check-in info. Breakfast is served on the 2nd floor, just a short walk out of the elevator, so not far at all. Overall, I'm satisfied. After exiting the subway station, I passed over a bridge where quite a few people were drinking.....

The twin room allows two adults and a child to stay for free. It's just a 2-minute walk from the Yokohama Station Northwest Exit, with plenty of dining options nearby, including Torikizoku and Sushiro. The breakfast, served at Royal Host on the second floor, is also very generous. There's a large drugstore on the first floor, and Family Mart and a shopping mall are close by. Many locals stay here, making it a good value-for-money option if you're not staying in Minatomirai. Laundry costs 600 yen for 3kg. A nice perk is the free amenities in the lobby, such as Sekkisei and Pola skincare products, various toiletries, drip coffee, tea bags, and bath salts. Luggage storage is also free.
