For this price i’d say really nice service.
The clean sheets and pillowcases are the most important part for me. They were clean. No insects until you open a window.
The size of the room is small ( but i stayed in even smaller rooms in Tokyo, so i’d say enough space for one person and a suitcase).
But the location is not perfect. It is indeed super close to the main touristic places and Chinatown, but sadly the people living in this area are not the most polite. Walking around when it got dark felt dangerous.
The staff of the hotel is super nice and helpful (helped with my suitcase because the building doesn’t have an elevator.)
Sadly, because of the age of the building and people living there (some floors are not part of the hostel) the smell of smoke is strong and staying there for some time makes your clothes and towels smell the same.
Despite the fact that linen was perfectly clean, the AC, bathroom fan and toilet windows were not. The soundproofing in the building is terrible (but again, in a hostel in Tokyo it was the same). Also, the lock of the bathroom is great (two locks actually) , and id recommend to have the same for the rooms doors. Current locks are not really trustworthy (no stealing was spotted though!).
Overall, a good place if you want to save some money and not planning to spend much time in or go outside at night if you are a girl traveling alone.
