We had a bit of an incident: after checking out, my son was really upset because he'd lost a baseball cap that held immense sentimental value for him. We went back to the hotel on a whim, just hoping. The front desk lady was incredibly patient. After hearing our story, she personally took us around to search different areas and logged the incident. And wouldn't you know it, perseverance paid off! We got good news from housekeeping – the cap was found! We were so thrilled and grateful. In our excitement, we completely forgot to ask for her name. I was a guest in room 2612, and I want to express my thanks again!
This trip to Japan left our entire family with such wonderful memories. I believe that even years from now, our 3 nights and 4 days in Yokohama will remain unforgettable.

EErik ChiangI recently had the pleasure of staying at the JR-East Hotel Mets Yokohama Tsurumi, and I must say it was a delightful experience. The location is incredibly convenient, especially for travelers looking to explore Yokohama or needing easy access to Tokyo. Being right next to Tsurumi Station makes it incredibly easy to get around without relying too much on taxis or long walks.
The room itself was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. Though not overly spacious, it made efficient use of space, ensuring a pleasant stay. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless.
What stood out most was the exceptional service provided by the staff. They were always ready to assist with any inquiries or requests, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The complimentary breakfast offered a nice variety of both Japanese and Western options, which was a great way to start the day.
If I had to find any fault, it would be that the hotel is located in a quieter part of Yokohama, which might not suit everyone's taste. However, for me, it added to the charm and made for a peaceful retreat after busy days of sightseeing.
Overall, I highly recommend the JR-East Hotel Mets Yokohama Tsurumi for its comfort, convenience, and outstanding hospitality. It offers excellent value for money and is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting the Yokohama area.

GGuest UserThe room was much better than those in Tokyo. Many amenities are available at the front desk. It's a 10-minute walk from the JR station, making it convenient for Haneda Airport. There's also the Shin-Takashima subway nearby, which is great for getting to Yokohama Chinatown. On the walk from the JR station to the hotel, you'll pass several exhibition halls, like Nissan, Keikyu Railway, and the LG Museum. Plus, Yokohama is a shopper's paradise.

FFeixiangdehelantuThis was the only hotel that earned a perfect score throughout our entire trip, and its convenient location and accessibility were an absolute game-changer. I even canceled all our subsequent hotel bookings in Tokyo to stay here instead. A huge thanks to the Chinese-speaking staff at the front desk who helped us arrange our room plan. Since it was the Japanese New Year, the Deluxe Twin Room was fully booked for two nights, so we switched to a Standard Twin Room for those two nights before moving back to the Deluxe. Location-wise, there's a FamilyMart right downstairs, accessible without even leaving the hotel. We were less than a hundred meters from both the JR ticket gate at the northeast exit and the Keikyu Line ticket gate, which essentially connects you to most major and minor cities in the Kanto region. The central avenue beneath the station also boasts a huge shopping street, and directly behind the hotel is another large mall, offering everything from drugstores to food, drinks, and shopping – incredibly convenient! A tip for finding the hotel: the first time you arrive, you'll likely exit through the JR Central Avenue ticket gate. Once you're out, look for signs pointing to the East Exit. You'll then spot a giant art mural on a wall. Take the escalator down, and you'll be in the commercial area. After exiting the escalator, turn left and follow the path along the left side until you find the exit. Look up for a sign that says ”Kita Higashi-guchi A” (North East Exit A). Go straight, take the escalator up and out of the station, cross a small bridge, and you'll find the FamilyMart and the hotel.

AAnonymous UserComing from Tokyo, getting to this hotel from Shin-Yokohama Station is super easy. Don't go out the North Exit; just turn right and walk straight ahead for about 5 minutes until you reach the PRINCESS PEPE shopping mall. Follow the signs from there, and you'll be right at the hotel entrance. They offer free luggage storage, which is a great perk. The front desk staff's English was very good, and the service overall was excellent. Parking is available for 1000 JPY per night.
The room size was comfortable, though there was no complimentary bottled water. However, there's a 7-Eleven right next to the elevator, which is convenient. The breakfast spread was extensive and available until 10 AM. Check-in at 3 PM and check-out at 11 AM felt very accommodating, especially after all the walking we did daily.
The adjacent shopping mall is quite local, featuring stores like Albion (where you can buy their 'E-Powder' – though it's one per person), Muji, and Seijo Ishii supermarket. It was really fun to browse around. We also had a great meal at a teppanyaki restaurant there; it was delicious, albeit a bit pricey.
Overall, it was a very good experience.
