Really pleased with our stay here. Our room was warm, large and had everything we needed. The view was lovely. The building itself is very interesting too.

Cold room.. Warmer not warm enough at allll. Bath water not warm enough even in this weather... Room is dusty.. No call services, had to travel to the ground floor from 3rd floor for any enquiry. Normal hotel toothpaste not available All of these are just basic things that do not cost much for any hotel. Highly inconvenient stay..Highly DISSATISFIED..

Pretty clean and comfortable! It is based in beautiful historical building near city centre

Extremely comfortable hostel located in a beautiful historic building in the centre of York. The surrounding area is full of history - one of the most architecturally interesting parts of York. Easy access to the town centre. Lovely cafes and pubs abound! The staff are welcoming and courteous !

Can sleep well

The service is very good, the transportation is convenient, it is close to the train station, the room is clean and sanitary, and the price-performance ratio is high. If I come to York next time, I will choose here again

The interior decoration of this youth hostel is nice and the price is relatively affordable. Because there are many tourists in York on weekends, the beds are limited. I reluctantly booked a mixed room for 6 people, but I was unlucky because I seemed to be the only woman in the room, and there was a man who snored loudly, talked to himself, and got up at 3 o'clock in the morning and turned on the light, which made the sleeping experience very bad. It should be noted that the toilet and bathroom in this youth hostel are very small and are shared by 6 people in the room, not the kind of shared on the same floor, which is very inconvenient.

Because it was a few minutes walk from the train station, and I had to catch the train to Iyork at 3pm the next morning, I tried to book a place closest to the station. It was my first time staying in a dormitory, and I felt it was OK, quite quiet. I regretted booking it on Ctrip for more than 30 pounds, as the people in the same room all cost more than 10 pounds.

The room was quite big. Not far from the station. But a little far from the city center.

The room was clean and tidy.

The environment, hygiene and service of York Youth Hostel are very good. The only drawback is that the floor drain in the bathroom is not smooth and toilet paper is sometimes not available.
