Lijiang Snow Mountain House View Courtyard (Baisha Ancient Town Branch)

Avoid, avoid, avoid! I paid over 400 RMB for a rundown room with no air conditioning. No heating was bad enough, but there was no hot water for a shower in 13-degree weather. And it was a child-sized showerhead, with a tiny, icy stream. I was already feeling a bit under the weather, and that made it much worse. The bathroom's exhaust fan/heater had no switch labels, and I couldn't turn off the cold air no matter what I did. It was freezing, adding insult to injury, and the constant squeaky noise was incredibly irritating and hard to bear. I finally gave up and washed my hair using the overhead shower. The hairdryer was super loud but had very weak airflow, couldn't even dry my hair. The promotional picture of the view outside the window was clearly Photoshopped; it's not even from that angle. As for seeing the 'Golden Mountain at Sunrise,' you'll need pure luck. There was a strand of hair on the bed, not sure if the sheets hadn't been changed or if it was left by a previous guest. The wooden bedside table made it impossible to lean back and use my phone. For a room over 400 RMB, the toilet wasn't even smart, and the bathroom was old, dirty, with grimy shower curtains and floor. I called ahead to confirm they had EV charging, but that was also a lie. When I got there, they said I had to go further down to an 'Old Boy Camping' site to charge, but that place isn't open to the public at all. I'm trying to help as many people as I can; this owner is trying to scam as many people as they can. Honestly, it's not good karma. Oh, and it's super remote!!! There are many guesthouses to choose from in Baisha Town; don't pick this one hidden away in the mountains.

This B&B offers stunning views; the 'golden mountain' (sun-kissed peaks) is breathtaking the moment you open the curtains. The room was clean, tidy, and cozy, and the owner was incredibly warm and attentive. It was a truly comfortable stay. If you're coming to see the mountains, this is definitely the place to choose. Highly recommend!

The B&B is right at the foot of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. Looking up at it, you feel like you could just hike right up. You absolutely have to go to the rooftop during the day! Holding a hot cup of tea and watching the snow-capped mountains change colors in the morning and evening light – that sense of peace and beauty is truly indescribable.

The B&B is in a fantastic location, right at the foot of the snowy mountain. The surroundings are beautiful, the air is fresh, and you can even see the sunrise illuminating the golden mountain peaks in the morning. The room was also great, very comfortable to stay in. The owner is very kind and I'll definitely choose this place again next time I visit.

This guesthouse was the highlight of my Lijiang trip. It didn't feel like a hotel stay at all, more like visiting Naxi friends. The small courtyard was cozy and elegant, filled with flourishing flowers and plants, creating a super comfortable atmosphere. The room was clean and bright, with soft bedding that gave it a homely feel. The owners were incredibly kind, warm, and easygoing. They helped with luggage, recommended authentic local food, and even helped plan my itinerary. Every little detail was thoughtful and welcoming. If you're coming to Lijiang, you absolutely must experience this place!

The owner is incredibly warm and welcoming, making you feel special from before check-in all the way through your stay. The breakfast, homemade rice noodles by the auntie who works there, was absolutely delicious – I'm still drooling just thinking about it! The biggest surprise was the fantastic atmosphere; guests naturally gathered to eat and chat like friends. Those little moments of warmth during a trip are truly rare and precious. The room itself was beyond words. You could see the snowy mountains right from the window, and the view was absolutely stunning. Even better, there's a two-month-old Border Collie puppy on site – so adorable, definitely a bonus! Next time I'm in Lijiang, I'll definitely choose 'Snow Mountain House' again without hesitation!

The room was spotless, the views were absolutely stunning, and the service was incredibly attentive! We were so, so happy with this B&B, definitely recommend it if you're visiting Lijiang! (And the cat at this B&B looks just like mine, super cute! I couldn't resist cuddling it for a bit, lol.)

Hidden away in Baisha Village, this guesthouse is an absolute gem! There are adorable cats and a big, friendly dog. The courtyard is beautiful. The breakfast isn't super fancy, but it's all-you-can-eat and very filling, which is great. The homemade dishes prepared by the staff are also delicious and clean, much better than what you'd find at outside restaurants. The staff are all very enthusiastic too. For anyone traveling during Chinese New Year, I highly recommend this place!

Scam! This place is nothing like the reviews, I have no idea where the positive ones came from! Their 'farm' was just two caged rabbits and a ** dog at the entrance. The room was a semi-basement. Dump trucks were making a racket before dawn, parked right in front of the 'mountain view' window! 2. The hygiene was appalling! I was constantly swatting spiders. The floor was covered in insect carcasses. I used an entire bottle of disinfectant, but it made no difference. 3. The occupancy rate was only 20% that day, and they knew our arrival time in the afternoon, giving them plenty of time to prepare. Yet, they gave us a completely uncleaned, unprepared room. The floor was full of insect corpses and dust, several nearly empty tissue packs were piled up, the curtains looked abandoned, and there was even hair in the amenities basket! 4. Only two things weren't broken in the room: this one was broken, and that one was broken too. With temperatures at just 4 degrees Celsius that night, the electric blanket was broken, the floor heating was just for show, there was no heating AC, and the bathroom had no heater, but a big drafty window! The only thing available was a small fan heater that you had to be right next to, on full blast, to feel any warmth. Oh, and the fan heater's plug didn't fit any of the outlets in the room initially. The hotel staff hadn't even noticed, despite all that preparation time! It was freezing! On a 4-degree night, I was too cold to shower or change clothes because the bathroom door was broken, the window was drafty, and the room had no reliable heating system! We were so distressed we couldn't sleep. We frantically searched for another hotel that night and rushed to shower and warm up there the next day. 5. Absolutely no service! When I called to book, the owner was playing mahjong and was impatient, hanging up on me! For the same price, you could stay at a reputable Hilton. If you want to experience what it's like to live in a semi-basement in freezing conditions, by all means, try this place.
