"We stayed for two nights as a family of three and thoroughly enjoyed our time in Nuodeng. We’ll definitely be back! The Guesthouse The guesthouse is run by a lovely local Bai family—everyone pitches in, and all were warm and welcoming. The young lady managing the place was a fantastic host, always attentive and happy to accommodate our needs. Grandma was just as friendly! Our three-year-old had a great time playing with their toddler, some neighbourhood kids, and other guests in the spacious twin courtyards. The whole property is tastefully decorated—traditional charm with a modern twist. The Rooms We stayed in one of the older family rooms, set slightly apart in a quieter courtyard. It was clean and peaceful. The newer rooms near the main courtyard are brighter and more contemporary—some even offer sweeping views down the mountainside. The Food The on-site restaurant is excellent and arguably the best value in Nuodeng. Breakfast noodles were delicious, and many dishes featured Nuodeng’s signature cured ham. The cooks were happy to adapt dishes to suit different tastes—less salt for our child, vegetarian options, and more. Surprisingly good espresso, too, at very reasonable prices. Nuodeng Village Perfect for travellers who enjoy slow, exploratory travel. There aren’t many must-see landmarks, but there’s a short scenic hike to an old temple, meandering stone stairways, village animals (great for kids), and a handful of cafés and restaurants. Adventurous hikers can set off on local trails and see where they lead! 我们一家三口在诺邓住了两晚，整体体验非常棒，下次一定还会再来！ 民宿体验 这是一家由当地白族家庭经营的民宿，全家人都特别热情、亲切，脸上总是带着笑容。民宿日常由一位小姐姐打理得井井有条，招呼也特别周到；奶奶也特别和蔼，十分有人情味。我们三岁的孩子在两个超大的院子里玩得特别开心，和他们家的小朋友、邻居家的孩子，还有其他住客都打成一片。整个民宿布置得很用心，既保留了白族传统的味道，又融入了现代元素，既有格调又很舒适。 房间环境 我们住的是一间家庭房，位于另一个相对独立的小院子里，环境安静、私密性好。房间非常干净，住着安心。主院那边是新建的房间，风格更现代，采光也更好，有几间还能俯瞰山景。 餐饮体验 民宿里的餐厅很值得推荐，性价比在诺邓算是非常高的。早餐的热铒丝特别香，正餐里很多菜都用了当地特色火腿，风味十足。厨房的阿姨们和小伙子都很热情，也非常愿意根据客人的需求调整口味——我们家小朋友吃得比较清淡，他们也都很细心照顾，素食也完全没问题。这里还提供意式咖啡，品质不错，价格也实在。 关于诺邓村 这个古村落特别适合喜欢慢节奏旅行的朋友。这里没有太多网红打卡点，但这正是我们喜欢的那种质朴和宁静。可以轻徒步走到山上的一座老庙，也可以在村里沿着蜿蜒的石阶闲逛，看看路边的鸡鸭牛羊——对亲子旅行来说是个加分项。村里还有几家气氛不错的小咖啡馆和餐厅。如果你热爱探索，不妨试着沿着村外的山路随走随看，说不定会有意外的发现。"

"Extremely satisfied! We checked into a first-floor room two days early and loved it so much we didn't want to move, therefore we didn't stay at [Jianshan]. After requesting a room change, the guesthouse staff immediately refunded the price difference – thank you! 🙏 We woke up quite late, and they even made breakfast for us at noon, which was very heartwarming! The food in Nuodeng is delicious! We ate at the guesthouse and the Big Green Tree Restaurant behind it, both were excellent!"

"This Yunshang Four Seasons Hotel in Yunlong County, Dali is really nice. As soon as I entered the lobby, the girl at the front desk called out my last name directly. I was a little surprised. She also upgraded my room, which made me feel flattered. When I asked her about the nearby fruit store, she enthusiastically introduced Tiantian Supermarket, which solved the problem. If there was not enough water to drink, it was no problem to add two more bottles. This girl had a good service attitude and was skilled in her business, which deserves praise. The rooms in this hotel are also very large, and the overall feeling is clean and tidy, very comfortable; the bedding is also good; the bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and the water volume, water pressure, and water temperature are also very good; parking is also convenient; Unfortunately, the breakfast in this restaurant is too simple. I really can't praise it. The hotel industry today is in the stage of stock game. The quality of breakfast is greatly related to the quality of guest experience and can help increase room prices. I hope the boss can recognize this problem and improve it. In short, from the perspective of the front desk and the guest rooms, this is a very good hotel and I still give it a five-star rating. If the breakfast can be improved, this restaurant will definitely be the first choice for guests traveling to Yunlong County."

"Having traveled all the way from Hong Kong to Nuodeng, I have certain requirements for accommodation. Seeing the carefully taken photos of the guesthouse, I decided to give it a try. They only open in January 2025. The day before my departure, the owner called to confirm my check-in, reminding me to be careful of falling rocks 3km before the parking lot on the mountain road. He also asked me to contact him after exiting the highway at Yunlong East so he could arrange for mules to help carry my luggage. Mules! They actually have mules! There are over 50 in the village, with an average lifespan of 20-30 years. It felt like stepping back into ancient times. That uphill road was breathless even walking empty-handed; carrying luggage was impossible. Upon arriving at the guesthouse, the owner's words, "You've worked hard, have a cup of tea," instantly warmed my heart. Our room was called "Qiyun" (Resting Clouds). Perhaps because I'm handsome, the owner upgraded us! Or maybe it was just the off-season and his kindness. But what made me happiest was that the room was exactly as pictured—clean and tidy. The smart toilet even excitedly turned on automatically when it saw me! Awesome! 😊 The view from the window was perfect; if you come in November or December, the leaves are at their most vibrant red. 🍁 Every time I come to Yunnan, I make a pilgrimage to a forest; Hong Kong's skyscrapers just leave me exhausted. I only mentioned it casually, and the owner recommended Dalangba, about an hour's drive away. It turns out the owner used to be a journalist; he knows Yunlong County's undeveloped high-altitude forests like the back of his hand. Perhaps he doesn't want these places to become another Lijiang, so he hasn't promoted them extensively. On our last night, the owner and his family invited us to a barbecue. Their homemade plum wine was quite potent, and we drank a bit too much. I only vaguely remember the owner's famous father saying, "I'm a mountain person; I only go to the mountains." I heard that DJI is going to promote Nuodeng culture here, setting up a location along the mountainside for drone enthusiasts to get up close to Yunlong. Exciting!"

"It's quite nice to find a guesthouse like this in an ancient village. The owner wasn't there, but the housekeeper was incredibly helpful, running all the way down from the mountain to pick me up. She took excellent care of the courtyard, with lots of flowers and plants. Since I love gardening, I especially loved the little courtyard. The room had large floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking a bamboo forest – a very pleasant view. That evening, the housekeeper and her husband invited me to dinner with them. Their cat, Fufu, was incredibly affectionate and well-behaved. Breakfast was delicious, with coffee included – fantastic! When I left, she even gave me some tea she grew herself – so grateful! Also, the next evening after I checked out, she texted to check if I'd arrived safely – so sweet! I highly recommend staying at their place when you visit Nuodeng."
