The hotel's environment is absolutely stunning! Every staff member provides exceptional and enthusiastic service. I'm extremely satisfied!

I had heard about Yangming Guantang when I stayed at the Zai Xiang Mansion in Shanghai before. This Mid-Autumn Festival, I specifically brought my family to experience it. Facilities: Three old buildings, after hundreds of years, have been reunited here. They are antique and charming. There are many old houses in Jiangnan, but it's rare to see them so well preserved after being moved here. Cleanliness: Very clean, no musty smell, no mosquitoes or flies in and out. Environment: It's in the suburbs of Yuyao, about a 15-minute drive to the city. The hotel's fields and dining options are all excellent. Service: From the gatekeeper to the butler (Butler Xiaolu), from the restaurant staff to the teacher explaining the ancient architecture, everyone was wonderful.

Before checking in, I was contacted by a lovely 'little deer' butler who was very responsive and answered all my questions. They also arranged our room according to our preferences in advance and tried their best to resolve any issues we had. The only downside during our stay was a sudden Wi-Fi outage, but everything else was great. The hotel environment is lovely and quiet, and it's a fantastic spot for travel photography too.

Excellent stay, the hotel's environment is fantastic. I was very happy with the room as well; even though it was a standard room type, it was already very comfortable. The large windows allowing for cross-ventilation were a great touch. Our two rooms happened to occupy the entire second floor of the small courtyard.

The hotel generally looks quite beautiful with its garden-style rooms! However, there are still some details that need improvement! 1. Upon entering the hotel, the security guard hands you a business card (see Fig. 1) and tells you to turn right after crossing the bridge. There are no other signs along the way, so if it's your first time, good luck finding the lobby. Fig. 5 shows the lobby, with a 'Lobby' sign taped to the door. Fig. 2 was taken in the lobby. 2. The room also has some poorly designed elements. My room was on the first floor. The windows have three layers: the outermost is a wooden window with a lock, which blocks out light. The second layer is a screen window without a lock. The third layer, inside the room, is a glass window, also without a lock. There are curtains between the second and third layers of windows. What do I do if I want to lock the window but also want ventilation or light? The door has a similar issue. The upper half of the door has glass panels. There are floor-length curtains behind the door inside the room, but if you draw the curtains, you can't open or close the door. If you need to leave at night, you have to turn off the lights! Also, the bathroom doesn't provide anti-slip mats. In winter, the floor can be quite cold when you step on it! Additionally, many of the showerhead nozzles were clogged! I won't even mention other minor details like the creaking door. 3. The buffet breakfast seems to be over a hundred per person, but there isn't much variety! And they don't replenish the food quickly enough. Breakfast is open until 10 AM. My wife arrived around 8 AM and got six or seven types of pastries. When I went ten minutes later, only four were left. By around 9:20 AM, there was only a small bottle of yogurt or cheese-like item left! They didn't replenish anything else until 9:40 AM when we left the restaurant! The hotel's location is also very remote! I probably won't be going back!!

First, my room was supposedly upgraded for free, but it was on the second floor. I had to carry all my luggage up myself. The stairs were quite steep, with many steps and two sections. From the entrance to the stairs, there was no light at night, and the stairs didn't have automatic sensors, so I had to find my way in the dark. It was a terrible experience. This type of room upgrade is not suitable for people with disabilities, the elderly, or children. It's an unfriendly design. Second, the hotel shuttle bus experience was very poor. On the morning of August 4th, going to the breakfast hall, the male shuttle driver liked to brake abruptly and make sharp turns. I almost got thrown out at a bend near the restaurant. On the morning of August 5th, returning from the restaurant to my room, as the shuttle crossed the bridge, we suddenly encountered someone watering plants. The water from the sprayer directly hit my arm and body. There was also a child and two female passengers in the same car; the female passengers' cups of water for the child were completely splashed, and they had to pour out the drinks while still in the bus. Third, the TV signal in the room was inconsistent, good one day and bad the next. The Bluetooth speaker, however, never connected. The attention to detail was severely lacking. Overall, this hotel is not friendly for families, the elderly, or people with disabilities. Although the architecture is nice, I will not stay there again.

Yuyao Yangming Guantang | A Family Trip to Jiangnan That Exceeded Expectations ✨ This family trip to Yuyao Yangming Guantang was a resounding success, far exceeding our expectations! We absolutely have to give it a shout-out! We especially want to thank our butler, Xiaolu, whose service was incredibly thoughtful. Not only did she proactively upgrade our room, making it more spacious and comfortable, but she also provided two complimentary breakfasts, relieving us of any worries and maximizing our happiness throughout the trip. The hotel's environment is also breathtaking. In springtime, the park was ablaze with golden rapeseed flowers, creating a stunning landscape where every snapshot looked like a masterpiece. Even more delightful was the dedicated water play area; we'll surely enjoy splashing and playing with the kids here when the weather gets warmer. Overall, we were extremely satisfied with both the attentive service and the beautiful surroundings. It's already on our list for a second visit – we'll definitely come back when it gets warmer!

Yuyao Yangming Guantang is amazing! The traditional Chinese courtyard offers picturesque views at every turn, the ancient-style guest rooms are elegant and comfortable, with greenery visible through the windows and birdsong to be heard in the morning. The butler service is attentive and thoughtful, and the breakfast dishes, such as yellow croaker noodles and Liangnong rice cakes, are authentic and delicious. Guests can also experience Hanfu (traditional Han clothing) and intangible cultural heritage handicrafts, immersing themselves in the ancient charm of Jiangnan and Yangming culture. Away from the hustle and bustle, it's a healing and relaxing retreat, perfect for families and vacations. The service from Xiaolu is also excellent.

Overall, the service was poor. We asked for a few extra bottles of water with a child, and were told that exceeding the room's original supply would incur a charge. The extra bed was the same; the package page stated it was free, but a phone call to the front desk revealed it was chargeable. After chatting with friends at night, we returned to our room to find the hallway almost completely dark, and the lobby was also pitch black. The cleanliness was disappointing. Our room was okay, but our friend reported many small black bugs in their room, so we contacted room service to change their bedding. The environment is quite unique, but the surrounding area is indeed very desolate, and it's almost impossible to order takeout.

The Yangmingguantang Hotel was beautiful and scenic, with a well-designed garden. However, I suspect the positive reviews were fake, as the overall experience was poor. From the moment I arrived and checked in, the front desk service was unsatisfactory. The staff were indifferent, inefficient during check-in, and barely answered my questions. The room was damp, with dim lighting and poor ventilation. Small insects swarmed in the corners, and even the sheets and blankets had flies. To make matters worse, the sheets were torn. The poor hygiene significantly impacted my mood. The breakfast was even worse – a pitifully small selection and extremely poor value. They gave us two breakfast vouchers, but our group of four insisted on buying two more, costing 108 yuan per person. I'm glad we didn't; the portions were so small we weren't even full. The selection was also very limited. I wanted to relax in the pool, but the water was murky, and my child even found unidentified floating objects, completely ruining their swimming experience. On our last day, our car was scratched, and the other driver fled the scene. When I contacted the staff to investigate and resolve the issue, their response was slow, their service attitude was mediocre, and they seemed unenthusiastic and weary. What I had hoped for a pleasant trip was completely ruined by this series of unpleasant incidents. The Yangmingguantang Hotel's terrible service and environment are utterly unworthy of its price and the advertised 700 million yuan investment. I will never come back and advise everyone to choose carefully. I don't know if my review will be deleted, but I hope it helps others.

Highly not recommended for business trips; the location is very remote and inconvenient. You have to wait for a shuttle bus to get from the parking lot to the hotel lobby. You have to wait for a shuttle bus to get from your room to the breakfast area. The hotel is too large; you have to wait for a shuttle bus to get anywhere. The hotel staff are not befitting of a star-rated hotel. Suitable for middle-aged or elderly families, and for very patient people. Impatient people will have a very poor experience.

We arrived at the hotel around 8 PM on a rainy night. We couldn't drive to the lobby because there were barriers preventing entry. The problem was, the entire hotel was deserted and dark in the heavy rain. It took us over ten minutes to find the lobby in the rain. It felt like the hotel was lacking staff; otherwise, 8 PM in summer isn't late, is it? There should at least be a staff member at the entrance to provide directions. Since we weren't the only ones who couldn't find the lobby, we discovered that the shuttle buses were parked side-by-side at the lobby entrance, getting soaked in the rain. After checking in, we learned it was a hotel owned by the Kaiyuan Group, so the service quality issues we encountered were understandable. During the day, the overall environment and the Chinese-style garden were quite nice, but the lack of service awareness and service level is a common problem in most domestic hotels. The complimentary fruit consisted of a few cherry tomatoes and a cucumber, which we had no appetite for because several of the cherry tomatoes were split open. It would have been better not to offer them at all. There were even guests openly smoking in the lobby! There was only one staff member, who was busy attending to other guests and probably didn't notice.

The outdoor greenery was nice, but the accommodation experience was mediocre. Inside, the tables were covered in dust after wiping, and the paint was peeling. Complimentary drinks weren't offered for second-stay extensions; they were only brought after I called the front desk. The complimentary travel photography package was limited to three photos regardless of the length of stay, which felt stingy and didn't match the hotel's standard. One experience is enough.
