Very convenient location, just next to the train station. Great to book the room with dinner and breakfast. We'll done!!

Super nice and traditional hotel and the staff is very friendly, we stayed in the private onsen room with the nice view ( facing the station ). Very close to the Yuzawa station . Breakfast is very good . Must visit again .

Before coming here, I said that the restaurant and desserts were the first in Echigo Yuzawa. After the experience, I felt that the price/performance ratio was not high. The last dish was a bowl of rice. There may be too much wood in the room. There is a smell every time when you enter the door.

The room is very Japanese style, but I don't know if the bathroom has hot spring water. It would be better to indicate

I had high expectations for this place, but it turned out to be extremely disappointing. Although the location is very convenient, the hotel environment is much more ordinary than it looks in the photos and official website. We chose a room with a private hot spring and were assigned a room "Jun". However, there was no heating in the entire corridor after the elevator. It was very cold. Do you still expect us to leave in house clothes and socks... The private hot spring in the room is semi-open air, but I never expected that the shower is also semi-open air, which means I have to wash my hair and take a bath in a cold environment before going to the hot spring bath... I wonder if they will clean the hot spring pool. I saw some unknown sediment floating up from the pond... There is no floor heating in the room, and the air conditioner is turned on. Fortunately, the air conditioner is powerful. The room temperature is suitable and it will not be hot when sleeping. However, it is a bit cold to go to the toilet, wash and brush teeth, and there is no heater there. The dinner was a banquet, but to be honest, the dishes and taste were very average. Halfway through, we were thinking about where to go for a late-night snack after the dinner... The Wagyu beef we were looking forward to the most was still very fried... I asked them to make a new one, but they didn't After taking away the plate, he actually told me that I would have to pay for the extra wagyu. I was speechless for a while and asked, "Can you cook it again if you can't fry it well?" He replied that it was OK and took away all the plates. He would come back to me later. Talking about additional fees...then why don't you keep my original share! In the last round of communication, they asked me to waive this fee...please, can this be a fee that shouldn't have been incurred in the first place?

The hotel has an excellent location, just opposite the train store. Friendly staff, and tidy room. The building of the hotel is very simple. Very rare.

I stayed here after skiing in Yuzawa. I was lucky enough to book a room with an open-air hot spring. It was perfect, and the breakfast was exquisite and delicious. The hot springs in the room are really different, enjoy the trip, just in time for the heavy snow when soaking in the hot springs, the beauty cannot be described in words.

This place was a very different experience to all the fancy hotels in the larger cities. Firstly, it was a humble looking place that did not look obviously like a place of accommodation from the outside. As soon as we entered late in the evening, the kind receptionist advised us to remove our shoes and place it inside lockers with our own wooden key. We then sat down on a sofa and used a tablet to record our details and pay for the accommodation. We were then asked to choose some samue (a cotton set of top tied with 2 strings around the sides and a pair of pants with a drawstring) and a nemaki (tubular short-sleeved robe with an obi or cotton belt). There was no bathroom in our room and only a toilet and sink. The futon beds and the tatami mats provided a great traditional Japanese inn experience. We had a traditional Japanese teishoku meal with a variety of healthy foods such as grilled fish, tofu, red beans, rice, Japanese pickles and other condiments not commonly found outside of Japan. I also tried their own plum liqueur in 3 shot glasses (from weakest to strongest) which was really good! We had our shower and then soak in the 50 degree onsen (separated into male and female) which was a great experience. The next morning we were treated to a three course breakfast with traditional Japanese foods again. Unfortunately as we were skiing, we had to leave early and could not stay more than one night to experience the wonders of this charming little ryoban. Highly recommended for travellers wanting an authentic, traditional Japanese accommodation and culinary experience that you may not necessarily find in the large cities.

This ryokan is located across the street from the JR station in Echigo Yuzawa, so it is very convenient to the transportation hub of the area and to many of the local restaurants. The Japanese and Western breakfasts were delicious and hearty, the room was big, clean, and comfortable, and the private outdoor rotemboro was a delight (the 4:30AM soak in the rotemboro was very invigorating and wonderful)! Whether or not you are in the area for skiing, Hantago Isen is the place to stay in Echigo Yuzawa!

We made a reservation for one night with two meals to relax on the first day of the three-day holiday. We had a relaxing stay the previous time, so we stayed here as a couple to relax, but in conclusion, we didn't feel it was worth the price of the late 20,000 yen range. The location is a one-minute walk from Echigo Yuzawa, so it is very convenient for using the Shinkansen, and it is nice to be able to walk around the building barefoot, but... First of all, the tablet input at check-in and the video explanation of the inn... APA and Daiwa Roynet are much better, and the strength of inns is that they have various customer contact points during C/I, and the entrance is the best. Well, they are short-staffed, yeah. This time, the room was in the study room, but there was little light and there was little space to relax, so it wasn't like reading a book... The bed was just the right hardness, though. The bath was a little hot in the large bath on the top floor, but it was comfortable (however, it said that it was open until 10:00 the next day, but when I went around 8:30 the next day, there was only a shower). Now, now, the food. I was looking forward to the seasonal cuisine using local Niigata ingredients, and although the food was elaborate and delicious, the timing was just not right... You're enjoying the food, so it's no good to serve it at the restaurant's pace. The atmosphere is a bit like a fancy family restaurant, and it feels a bit... The same goes for breakfast, it's no good to just serve the side dishes first, but if the rice is the selling point, it should be served first. Also, the staff were in training, so their explanations were halting, and you could feel their tension... If they're in training, the mentors should provide proper support, it's a shame. More than anything, it makes us feel uncomfortable. Considering the cost-effectiveness of it all, I won't be returning. I hope it's still around in 3 years' time

I was very satisfied with the atmosphere of the inn and the Japanese course in the dining room, I was impressed (I would like to come here often if it was nearby). I was also grateful that they were able to accommodate my allergies. It is a convenient location for sightseeing and hiking. It can't be helped because the inn faces the street in front of the station, but you can't see the outside from the open-air bath attached to the room (although that's the flip side of not being able to see anything) and you can hear the announcements from the Shinkansen platform from the open-air bath (the rooms are soundproofed so there is no impact). There seems to be a shortage of staff everywhere, and there are many foreign employees, so the explanation of the meals was sometimes difficult to understand (and difficult to ask). The Japanese employees were all polite and pleasant, so I look forward to their training in the future.
