Parador de Zafra

Parador de Zafra ★★★★

📍 Pl. Corazón de María, 7, Zafra

"We didn’t stay at the hotel so cannot review it. We were unable to book a bus because every bus from Seville was full. So we missed our stay at the parador unfortunately. We didn’t know it was a public holiday the next day which obviously was why all the buses were full."

"Marga and Manuel are the kindest and most welcoming hosts that you can imagine. This charming couple make sure everything about your stay is perfect. The building itself is very beautiful and stunningly restored by them. The attention to detail is impeccable. The rooms are beautifully presented and have every convenience you could wish for. The breakfast is varied and delicious. We highly recommend this as your first choice for a stay in Zafra, which itself is a hidden gem on the ruta de la plata. "

📍 Pl. Grande, Zafra

"Lovely quirky hotel set in a fab location. Parking within a 5 min walk. The rooms are furnished in a traditional style with extremely comfy beds. Simple toiletries provided - that’s fine, it’s not a 5* spa! Good air conditioning, super clean, and with a lift of stairs aren’t your thing. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful in the Spanish continental style. Good value, nice place."

Hotel Plaza Grande

"In the tourist apartment where we stayed, the fusibles jumped every two for three with heating alone, it is equipped with kitchen with washing machine, oven etc , but can not be used as you stay in the dark, You have to get out of your room and touch the picture that warms up and jumps... the solution they put was to discharge the electric heating and to shower you remember to discharge it with some time. In the restaurant we reserved out for dinner provided the greenhouses were confirmed we were, but once there had not enough pony in full December we eat ice cream The only good the moren boy was for everything in whenever."

Hotel Casa Luna ★★★★
"This small, boutique hotel run by our charming hosts, Manuel and Malga should be your first choice when looking for a place to stay in Zafra. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted with warm smiles, helpfulness and hospitality. The hotel once was the home of Malaga’s grandparents, and the couple have recently converted it into a tasteful, four-room hotel. Please note that these rooms are accessible only by a fairly steep staircase, but Manuel and Malga graciously helped us carry our bags to our room. Malga also helped procure an English-speaking guide for touring the nearby town of Merida, gave recommendations for restaurants and local sights, and Manuel even drove his own car in front of us to show us the way out of town when it was time to leave. The breakfasts are delicious and made fresh every day: pancakes, omelets, breads, fresh orange juice, coffee, tea, cheeses, croissants and fruit. When we left, we felt like we were saying goodbye to dear family members. Don’t miss an opportunity to stay at Hotel Casa Luna!"

Hotel Las Palmeras by Vivere Stays ★
"Hotel with bedbugs!! When I complained about the damages (they bit me), they indicated that it was a problem with the pilgrims who stayed at the hotel, when the problem was caused by a lack of fumigation and hygiene. The furniture was very old. The complaint forms were not updated. They offered a reduction in the cost of the stay, which they never did. In my case, since the reservation was made by the company, a claim to consumer services is not accepted, so all that remains is to file a complaint with the court."
