We have recently come back from this hotel, it is well situated for visiting the shops, bars and restaurants and the beach is a short walk away, with some lovely places to eat. The complex is big and well looked after. The pool area is a pleasure to be in and there are also food/drinks available with sunbed service, the lads really do look after you. We met a few people who had gone over to visit family who live there, they are welcome to use the pool for a charge per day. You can also go into the Nisi bar/restaurant which is located in the middle of the pool with bridges to access it, (if you feel the need to get out of the sun for a while) Reception is spacious and clean with a bar and seating area. All staff throughout the hotel are thorough, very friendly and can't do enough for you. If you go room only that is all you get - a room, no kettle of anything so really basic. Self catering was marginally better at least we had a kettle and what to me was a 2 plate camping stove and a fridge, you can hire a toaster at 10€ deposit which you got back when you returned it, you can also have an iron for 3hrs for free. I will say the cleaners are very good and call every day, again the room is basic but ok if you don't mind not really being able to self cater, a microwave would be handy. From what I could see not many rooms get sun on their balconies, we actually never had the Sun at any time of day. I wouldn't recommend poolside rooms because the music is so loud at night, (actually it got louder throughout the day) I don't know why it was played so late because there isn't anyone on the sunbeds night to hear it. I did complain a couple of times and the Reception staff jumped on it straight away and the music was turned off. We wanted to keep our room on because of a late check out at a cost of 40€ but asked us to vacate to another room as our room had been requested as poolside. What an eye opener, it was beautiful, separate wardrobes and storage plus we thought wow we have a private pool but again no sun on it in the afternoon, so to enjoy it you'd have to go in early in the day. So what I'm saying is this hotel is comfortable (especially the memory foam mattresses) clean and the staff were great. Room only and self catering rooms really do need some work as very tired looking Would I go back to this hotel? Yes I would if I was going back to Alakanas and this hotel Thank you to all the staff Alakanas is a small place but has some fabulous places to eat. Two of the bars we went to were the D.N.A and Jammin both friendly and good atmosphere. If you want a really good T Bone steak you must go to The Lavante, it's well worth a visit so is Horos, I had a fab Lamb Kleftico here and in Lavante
