Days Hotel by Wyndham (Zhangjiajie 72 Wonder Tower Scenic Area)

Outstanding value for money. Clean, comfortable, well-located, and staffed by people who clearly care.

The rooms are newly renovated and have some really nice features, including motorised curtains, a smart toilet and a very nice big shower. Although for safety reasons, they could provide an anti slip mat. The location is excellent, situated in the 72 wonders towers with plenty of dining options and convenience stores nearby. The elevators are shared with another hotel, and unfortunately the lifts consistently smelled of cigarette smoke, which was unpleasant. There is an issue about security as you didn't need cards to access the floors. Breakfast was another area that needs improvement. There was no regular cutlery available apart from chopsticks and Chinese spoons. My elderly in-laws struggled with this and ended up having to eat with their hands and spoons. There was also no water provided at breakfast, and we had to specifically ask the staff for water and were given boiled water. Staff spoke little to no English but tried their best to help with translation software. And we found that sometimes the door to our room didnt lock properly.

The stay, the location, the staff everything was top notch. This hotel is situated within the 72 wonder tower, so you don't have to travel anywhere. Once you're done with all Tianmen and National Park site-seeing you can simply spend the evenings here. The toom quality and cleanliness was good. The staff helped us at every step. For international travelers, there's a Mcdonalds downstairs alongwith local chinese restaurants, Luckin Coffee, etc. Hotel is just 10 mins away from Zhangjiajie West Railway Station. Connectivity via Didi cab is good and cheap. Complimentary breakfast is manageable for someone who's not acquainted with local chinese food with beef and pork. Supreme value for money and certainly recommended for local and international travelers. Don't forget to choose a room with Tianmen Mountain view.
