No. 5 Valley Lodge

Our three-night stay at No. 5 Valley Lodge (August 23-26) was absolutely outstanding. From start to finish, every aspect of the experience exceeded our expectations. The location is stunning and perfectly positioned for exploring the surrounding natural beauty. The staff's availability and attentiveness were remarkable—they genuinely anticipate your needs without being intrusive. A special touch: the team handles your luggage with care, and refreshingly, no one pressures you for tips. This level of genuine hospitality is rare. What truly impressed us was the quality of information and services provided at the reception desk. Recommendations for excursions were accurate and well-planned, with clear schedules and logistics that made our outdoor activities seamless and enjoyable. The hiking program and activity options were expertly organized at an excellent level. The staff's kindness and professionalism created a welcoming atmosphere throughout our stay. Every interaction reflected genuine care for guest comfort. **Minor Suggestion:** The pillows, while of decent quality, are slightly too high for optimal comfort. My partner and I both found them a bit firm for our preferences. I would suggest offering at least one orthopedic or lower-profile pillow option among the bedding selections. This small adjustment would make the sleeping experience truly perfect for all guests. Overall, No. 5 Valley Lodge is an exceptional destination that delivers on all fronts. We would absolutely recommend it and look forward to returning.

Amazing location with breathtaking views! Number Five Valley Lodge was a truly special place to stay. The location was undoubtedly the highlight, with incredible direct views across the valley and mountains. Our rooms, numbers 4 and 5, were absolutely amazing, overlooking the valley and infinity pool, with beautiful bathtubs on the balconies. The bedrooms are beautifully designed, and the whole lodge has a wonderfully rustic, charming feel. Rain at reception was fantastic and could help with absolutely anything, arranging taxis, drop-offs and pick-ups whenever we needed them. The food was also lovely. The ladies in the kitchen were wonderful, and the dining area was spotlessly clean, feeling much more like a welcoming homestay than a typical hotel restaurant. There was a good selection at breakfast and some delicious choices for dinner. You book your dinner time and order around an hour beforehand, then arrive to find your table beautifully set and your food waiting for you. There is also a little Luna Bar, run by some of the lovely team who help with luggage and around the lodge. We had such a fun evening there singing karaoke and playing cards! One thing to note is that the property isn’t suitable for anyone with mobility issues, as there are lots of cobbold stone steps up to the infinity pool and breakfast area. But for us, the incredible setting, wonderful staff and unique charm made this an unforgettable stay!

Beautiful hotel in the middle of nature with 2 swimming pools and spectacular views. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. Helpful and welcoming staff and good food. Great location for the west entrance of Zhangjajie park. Recommended!

Very welcoming hosts, incredible location very close to Zhangjiajie park. Just from the location, there is beautiful views. The staff speaks good english and is very helpful. The only small downside is that the on-site restaurant is a littlebit expensive for what it is.

We had an amazing stay at No.5 Valley Lodge! Everything was absolutely beautiful. The nature around the lodge is simply magical, and the whole place has such a peaceful, cozy atmosphere that it gave us a feeling of warmth and nostalgia. It was the perfect place to slow down, relax, and enjoy the mountains. The people here are wonderful. We didn't just stay at a hotel we had a genuinely memorable experience with everyone we met, and that made the trip even more special. A special thank you to Olivia! She was incredibly kind, friendly, and always happy to help. She quickly solved every question we had and gave us excellent recommendations for hiking routes, scenic spots, and how to explore the natural park. Her advice made our trip so much better. Thank you for everything! We truly enjoyed our stay and will definitely remember this place. We hope to come back one day. 🖤

Great value for money! This hotel is perfect for travelers looking for comfort and convenience. The rooms are neat, cozy, and well-maintained. We loved the location, close to the East gate of National Park. The front desk staff was very welcoming and helped us with everything we needed. They speak great English! It was a wonderful base. Would definitely stay here again!
