If you want to escape the city hustle and reunite with nature, this hotel is a perfect place. It is one step from Zhangjiajie National Park and integrated into It's scenery. One of the entrances to the park is just 5 min away, and the hotel staff will give you a lift there. The downside is that other famous scenic spots (Tianmen Mountain, Glass Bridge) are far away, about 1.5 h by taxi.
The rooms are comfortable, they have a bath, a balcony, and a wood stove to keep you warm and dry in cold months. However, we would prefer to have more convenient cabinets for personal things.
The hotel has a swimming pool and a pond with real frogs, which was right next to our balcony. It was very relaxing to hear them croak at night.
There's a barbecue area. We went to a nearby village on an ebike which the hotel lent us, bought some meat, and then grilled our own lunch. The staff helped us prepare all the ingredients for just 100 RMB.
Overall, I strongly recommend this place as a nature retreat.
