Genting Grand Hotel

This hotel is a popular choice for skiing in Chongli. Overall, the facilities are decent and meet basic needs, though the decor and equipment are a bit outdated. The skiing experience was excellent, with a wide variety of slopes suitable for all skill levels. Access from the hotel to the ski resort is convenient and fast, and the service was good. However, the hotel's hygiene was severely below standard for the price point. The toilet wasn't even clean, indicating that even basic cleaning wasn't done properly. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk, they seemed nonchalant and just smiled it off, which speaks volumes about the hotel's management.

The rooms are clean and tidy. We booked a family room, which had two double beds and a bunk bed, perfect for a family trip. The biggest advantage, of course, is the ski-in/ski-out access directly to Genting Ski Resort. You can even see Su Yiming's training big air ramp from the restaurant! It's definitely the best hotel in the Genting ski area. You absolutely must book the ski-and-stay package that includes ski passes. On busy weekends, it's also essential to book the one with fast passes, as it makes a huge difference. Honestly, apart from Thaiwoo and Aranya, the hotels in Chongli generally aren't that great. However, Genting has excellent snow and less wind, and Genting Grand Hotel is already the best hotel at Genting Ski Resort.

The balcony directly faces the ski slope, and there happened to be a competition that day, which was awesome to watch from there. The service was also excellent. The hotel's ski-in/ski-out package offers great value for money. It would be even better if we could pay the difference and upgrade directly to the Yunlong Pass.

On my annual leave, my friends and I decided to spend six days and five nights at the Olympic Village for a ski trip. We specifically chose two ski-in/ski-out hotels. For our family of four, we booked a two-bedroom suite, which was quite spacious. Having two bathrooms and showers was very convenient, and the washer-dryer was a big plus for cleaning our ski gear. The only downsides were the poor drainage: the floor drains in the bathrooms smelled really bad and weren't odor-proof, and the shower drains were slow and also had a sewage smell. Also, while there was a washing machine, laundry detergent wasn't provided and had to be purchased separately, which felt a bit like a rip-off. We had just come from the Thaiwoo Paston, and this hotel definitely has room for improvement compared to that experience.

The room isn't huge, but it's a suite so thankfully it has a living room. The bathroom is actually quite spacious, which is a plus. We stayed in the South Wing, and getting to the ski lift means walking through the entire hotel, which is a bit of a trek. On the bright side, there's a Starbucks at Genting!

I had a fantastic stay! The snow view room was absolutely amazing, directly facing the ski jump. I could watch the ski jumping right from my room – it was incredible! The ski slopes were also beautiful.

Came here to ski during the Chinese New Year holiday, and Genting is an old favorite of mine. I have to give it a 100-star rating this time! I happened to catch the two windiest days of the ski season, but Genting's gondola, though a bit slower, kept running as usual. Genting's ski resort has the shortest queues, and most of its slopes are south-facing with great visibility. I managed to hit all the advanced runs twice over the two days, starting the new year with full energy and passion. It was fantastic! The hotel was prompt with water delivery, the hotpot wasn't expensive, and the front desk even gave us a late check-out since we had a child with us. All in all, it's the best hotel in Chongli, absolutely loved it!

The hotel's location is very convenient, making it easy to get to and from the ski resort. It's a highly recommended choice for both holidays and ski trips.

The room was great, with a king-sized bed and bunk beds, perfect for a family of four. There was even a washing machine in the room, so we could wash our ski clothes at night and they'd be dry by morning. The shuttle service from Taizicheng High-Speed Rail Station was also very convenient.
