Thaiwoo Hotel

The hotel's location is excellent, right in the heart of Thaiwoo Ski Resort. It's super convenient for a stroll, very close to both the commercial street and the cable car. The service is also quite good, and most importantly, it's not a pet-friendly hotel, which ensures good hygiene 👍

This hotel is fantastic! The outdoor scenery is beautiful, and we even got to watch a free movie, "Kung Fu Soccer." The breakfast was plentiful, especially with a great variety of breads. The room itself was also large, clean, and tidy, and the bed even had adjustable firmness.

The front desk staff were warm and thoughtful; they upgraded my room and even provided a complimentary breakfast! It truly felt like a home away from home!

Location: I must admit the hotel's location is fine. It was my first time visiting, and I felt this hotel truly marks one end of the town. The so-called entrance would take some time and effort to reach on foot. The town's core area isn't big, so walking around is easy. Facilities: Extremely dissatisfied. We were assigned a top-floor room, and when we returned to sleep at night, we discovered a really loud noise outside that made it very difficult to fall asleep. It suddenly stopped around 12 AM, so I didn't think much of it. However, the noise started again around 4 AM, sounding very much like a train running on the roof. Our whole family was woken up. We suspected it was an outdoor unit for the central air conditioning. We reluctantly called the front desk, and a young man came up. He listened and said the noise was normal, even in the hallway! I asked him to get his manager, as I didn't want to argue with him. Later, an older person came, listened, and then went to turn off the AC. By the time the noise stopped, it was almost dawn. Our whole family really likes Chongli, but even in a scenic area, a 600-yuan room shouldn't be like this. The hotel couldn't even guarantee the most basic sleep service, which is putting the cart before the horse. Also, the bathroom was incredibly small; when you sat down, your knees would touch the glass partition, making it hard to stand up. If you're driving and have time, I recommend staying in the county town; it's better value for money. We were a bit rushed this time and it was our first visit, so we really stumbled with our accommodation. But Thaiwoo Ski Town is great, and the 'Thaiwoo Night' iron flower show was amazing!

This hotel, located in the 'Little Switzerland of Beijing's suburbs,' truly lives up to its cool reputation, with significant temperature drops in the mornings and evenings. My windbreaker definitely came in handy! The Thaiwoo Hotel is right in the town center, making it a short walk to all the attractions and convenient for dining. However, since it's in a tourist area, the food at most places is pretty average. The family room for two adults and one child was decent, but not great value for money. The weekend rates during summer weren't cheap, but you're paying for the convenient location.
