"This is a good hotel located in an excellent location with direct access to Star Mall. Across the road is a nice park by the lake. The observation deck on level 7 offers great views of Star Lake. We watched the sunset and musical water fountain show on the deck at 8 pm. The breakfast spread was more than sufficient and the ambience was very pleasant. The only minor problem is that the hotel computer system seems to be having some difficulty in checking in guests and the front desk staff although polite didn't explain the hotel facilities and where to have breakfast. Other than that everything is fine."

"The 'lake view room' we booked only offered a distant glimpse of the lake. Being on the 6th floor, the view of the lake was very poor and not worth it. The central air conditioning was stuck at 19 degrees Celsius and couldn't be adjusted, making the room very cold, so we had to turn it off. The staff's solution was to provide a portable heater, which was quite a laugh. Breakfast was also very mediocre, not up to a five-star standard. However, the hotel's location is excellent."

Not only do they offer breakfast, but also late-night congee. The front desk staff were incredibly friendly and thoughtful. There's a food court nearby with a wide variety of options. Plus, Seven Star Crags is right across the street, and you don't even need to enter the paid area to enjoy the view. I came once half a year ago and decided to come back again this Chinese New Year."

Since we were traveling with seniors and children, walking to the South Gate of Seven-Star Crags and then to Longyan Cave was manageable, as neither the elderly nor the kids were keen on long walks. The hotel is large and new. We only got to use the water park because we didn't have much time at the hotel, and I wasn't sure what other kid-friendly activities were available. The staff called the day before, but I didn't add them on WeChat, which was fine. All the hotel staff were very nice. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Zhaoqing."
