Hotel Casa Iturbe

The hotel is located in a pretty bad-looking area, and not what I would call all that close to either the central area or the bus terminal. Inside the secure walls, though, it's a very new and modern boutique hotel. Our room was interesting--it had no windows really, and the decor was definitely on the minimalist side. There was no heater, but a fan. It had high ceilings, but the interior walls didn't go all the way up. The sink was almost beside the bed; the free wi-fi signal didn't quite penetrate the thick walls into the room, so we had to go outside to use it. Great bed, however. Outside, the grounds were beautiful. There was a big pool and a spa, and a restaurant that seemed almost to float on the pool. A buffet breakfast was included with our room, but it was pretty average. It would have been nicer if the food didn't look like it had been sitting in the dishes a while. The fresh bread, coffee and fruit were the star of the show for me. The lady at the check-in counter was quite friendly and helpful with suggestions on dining in the area. Also very nice to call us taxis when we needed them.

This is my second stay at Casa Iturbe and it was as comfortable as the first. Rooms are spacious for a small boutique hotel. Beds are just right for me - not too soft, not too hard and the staff is helpful. Breakfast is included, plentiful with made to order eggs, and nicely prepared. One aspect of Casa Iturbe I really enjoy is the design of the hotel. Sleek clean lines and very pleasing. There is an outdoor heated pool but in February it was too cold at night to enjoy it but last year it was a real treat. As a wheelchair user it is almost completely accessible. If you have some mobility it is an easy hotel to manage. No grab bars in the bathroom but otherwise it is one of the accessible hotels I have stayed in while visiting Mexico.

This is the place to stay! Small boutique hotel. Very nice rooms, smart TV’s, comfy beds. Terrace rooms are very spacious at the back of the property. Rooms facing the street are still nice but dark. Wifi is sketchy but great in the dining area. Great! Fresh , plentiful breakfast included. Starts at 830a. We chose to stay here in a nice hotel and then drive the 1hr to Rosario monarch reserve. Start hiking by 1030 and the action really gets going around 1130-12n .An unforgettable experience

Hotel is conviently located near main church, market, and town square. Breakfast was yummy, especially the homemade jam and beans. The staff were helpful. The room had good water pressure and was clean and modern, with a comfy bed. There is a heated pool too! I marked the hotel down because my little room had no natural light and the walls/doors were not very thick, so I could hear others in the hotel.
