The Good: The hotel staff were excellent, polite, and helpful. food was acceptable, and the communal areas were clean and tidy. The Bad: Room service was poor. We spent 10 days in a studio suite, which was more expensive, and were charged 100 euros to select the room. Upon arrival, we discovered that the carpets had not been cleaned for some time, the bed sheets were only changed once during the 10 days, the scales provided did not work, and the balcony had an ant infestation, some of which made their way into the room. Additionally, there was only one pair of slippers provided. I reported these issues on the day. they applied ant powder other problems remained unresolved, oh and to top it off we had a dead fly in the shower on day 1, its still their now as far as im aware. Regarding the TUI trips, the experience was disappointing. We went on three trips, and the least expensive one was the only one I would recommend. This was the trip to Makarska, costing just £20 per person, which provided a pleasant 3–4 hours there. trip to Dubrovnik was acceptable but poor value for money, as it cost significantly more and only allowed three hours in Dubrovnik despite taking a full day. The third trip, to the waterfalls, was terrible. Although the destination itself is worth visiting, the trip cost over100 per person, involved seven hours on a coach, and included over an hour picking up other guests from distant hotels. Smaller buses from each area would have saved time. The entrance tickets to the waterfalls cost under £15 per person, meaning we effectively paid £90 each to sit on a bus. The evening entertainment was good on one night, and the entertainment team worked hard and were commendable. Overall, we had a good holiday because made it enjoyable ourselves. However, I expected better from TUI, a provider I have always used. Considering the experience, I will likely try another provider next time, as I have had better experiences for less with TUI in the past.
