A classic and elegant retreat in downtown Vancouver

A classic and elegant retreat in downtown Vancouver

The Sutton Place Hotel Vancouver really surprised me. This hotel is located in downtown Vancouver, at 845 Burrard St. The location is very convenient, just a 500-meter walk from the hotel to Vancouver City Center Station, making it very easy to get around. There are also popular attractions nearby, such as Gerard Lounge and Joey Burrard. The hotel is conveniently located, whether you take public transportation, a taxi, or drive yourself, it's very efficient and fast. Although it's an old building, the interior of the hotel is beautifully decorated, with a modern touch to its classic style. There are a variety of fitness facilities, such as an indoor swimming pool and massage room, so whether you're on a business trip or traveling, you can enjoy a rare moment of relaxation amidst your busy schedule. The reception experience at the hotel is very good, with the front desk staff being warm and professional, making you feel at home. The rooms are well laid out and well-equipped, and although some areas are a bit dated, they are still comfortable overall. We stayed in a standard room, which was spacious and bright, making us feel very relaxed. The soft bed and clean sheets allowed us to sleep soundly every night. The room is equipped with all the necessary facilities, but it's important to note that the Wi-Fi here is not free, and costs an additional $15 per night, which is a bit inconvenient. There are many restaurants worth visiting near the hotel, such as Giardino Restaurant and Ancora Waterfront Dining and Patio, which all offer high-quality dining experiences. We also tried the hotel's restaurant, and the breakfast options were plentiful and delicious, especially the croissants and yogurt, which are a must-try 👍. Of course, there are some areas that need improvement. For example, the carpet and wallpaper in the room are a bit old and need to be renovated. The Wi-Fi charge is also quite inconvenient. The parking fee is also a bit high, at $45 per day, but the parking conditions are relatively safe. Overall, The Sutton Place Hotel is a good choice in downtown Vancouver. Whether you're on a business trip or traveling, it offers a comfortable and secure place to stay. I hope to see some renovations and improvements to enhance the overall accommodation experience when I come back next time 😊.

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park

What is the name of this Vancouver forest park? I can't remember, all I remember is the forest and the ten-meter-high forest boardwalk, walking between the trees. Finally checked, it's called Pikarano Suspension Bridge Park, but is this a suspension bridge? It's clearly a plank road. Lack of education is really scary. In the middle of the forest, taking a walk is really nice. At least there are a lot of negative ions in the air. Breathing in the clear forest air is already satisfying enough. A visit here, breathe in the fresh air, and take in a bit of forest atmosphere, it's worth it.

nice ambience

They have an amazing variety of sandwiches, and it was my intent to try one soon except I finally became a vegan and missed the boat because they don't have any vegan+gluten-free sandwich offerings. I used to love the carrot cake, and still do, it is not sweet and very addictive, but now that I cannot eat eggs, wheat and dairy, that's out as well. The goodies is tasty though way too sweet for me, like overall all in Canada when it comes to sweets, they put too much sugar on. It would be great to sit on their balcony on warm days looking down to the field. #internationaltravel #vancouver

University Women's Club of Vancouver

University Women's Club of Vancouver

The University Women's Club of Vancouver (UWCV), established in 1907, is a landmark in Vancouver's contemporary history, playing a crucial role in advancing the status of women for over a century. The club's founder, Evelyn Fernwick Farris, firmly believed that women and men should have equal access to education and worked tirelessly towards this goal. She actively promoted the establishment of the University of British Columbia and served as a board member. Today, UWCV, also known locally as Hycroft mansion, is a popular venue for weddings and private gatherings, and is one of the few buildings in Vancouver that retains an old European style.

Burnaby is a nice place to view maple leaves

Burnaby is a nice place to view maple leaves

Although the weather in Vancouver has started to get cold, the maple leaves seem to be reluctant to turn completely red. I have visited several places, including Stanley Park, Deer Lake, Burnaby Lake, Cambridge St, and the seaside of Yaletown, but I haven't found a large area of maple leaves, only a few scattered red maple trees. The place I went to today is Tyndale Crescent in Burnaby, located in a quiet villa area. There are several maple trees that have completely turned red. It is suitable for both enjoying and recording the beautiful scenery. In this gradually cold October, I hope you can also find some warmth and color.
