Aira force and Gowbarrow park are around 155km away from Manchester United, you can take the train to the penrith station then there is a bus from the station to the destination. It is near Ullswater with a parking facility and etc. Aira force is an 18th century design landscape once owned by the dukes of norfolk, now owned by the National trust. The main force falls 70 feet from below a stone. You can borrow the boots so you can walk along the water. I took the 45 minutes trail because time is limited, i follow a 3 days 2 night tour from rabbies. If you took Gowbarrow fell trail that is around 3 hour walk at beautiful landscape with fencing to prevent the animal coming out, you will be award a beautiful view.

We wanted to get away from the city for a quick break so headed up to the Lake District. At Euston we took the Avanti train to Oxenholme. bought standard class tickets but upgraded to first class using an app called SeatFrog for just £35! We picked to stay in Kendal which is a nice small town but cheaper than more central lakes locations. The bus to windermere takes just 20 minutes and is usually open top. After a good night sleep we headed out to explore the lakes. We took the open top 599 bus to Grasmere (about 1hr). Here there is lots of cute little shops and cafes. The Grasmere Tea Garden is a great place for a coffee looking over the river. There is also the famous Grasmere Gingerbread shop which is worth a look. Back on the bus we headed for Ambleside. After browsing the shops we walked to the pier and took a trip on Lake Windermere to Bowness. Beautiful scenery and very relaxing. At Bowness there is loads of shops, cafes, restaurants, the Peter Rabbit Exhibition and lots of places you can hire a boat and cruise out on the lake yourself. After too much shopping (and some local ice cream!), we headed back to Kendal for dinner. To get around the lakes we bought a Bus & Boat day ticket from the bus driver. This was £20 for adults and gives all day travel across the lake district and a single journey on the Windermere Lake Cruises boat. Well worth it.

From the moment I saw its pyramid-like silhouette rising over Wasdale, I knew it would be special. I took the route from Seathwaite via Styhead Tarn, which offered a steady ascent with changing views — from tranquil valleys to rugged scree slopes. The final push to the summit is a bit of a scramble, but completely manageable with decent footwear and a good level of fitness. What makes the top of Great Gable truly memorable is the war memorial at the summit. It’s a quiet, reflective space that honors the members of the Fell & Rock Climbing Club who died in WWI. Standing there with panoramic views stretching from Scafell Pike to Buttermere, it's easy to see why this fell is beloved by so many. We stayed in Yha windermere hostel and it was worth it, Tip1. Buses comes after 1-2 hour, plan it before head and few days doesnt run as well. Tip2. Around 5 most places are closed, start early Tip3. If you are with elders or kids and doesnt have car than opt for lakeside taxis app and it was convenient or if alone you can get cycle from the station and keep your luggage around the area Tip4. Dont forget to visit gingermere for ginger bread, only they make it. Tip5. Must try sticky toffee pudding, we did at amberside. Tip6. You should try elderflower sparkling water, i personally liked it.

Surrounded by gentle mountains, the lake surface is occasionally covered with thin ice in winter. Walking along the frozen path is tranquil and beautiful, as if time has slowed down. Castlerigg Stone Circle is full of mystery. Standing in the ancient stone circle, with snow-capped mountains in the distance and a vast wilderness before you, it's hard not to be impressed by the stunning scenery. Departing from London, I opted for a bus ride to Penrith. Although the journey was long, the scenery along the way unfolded like a series of moving paintings, refreshing my mind. When I arrived in Penrith, it was already evening, and the afterglow of the setting sun cast a mystical and warm glow on the ancient buildings. After checking in to my B&B, I took a short rest and couldn't wait to hit the streets to experience the town's unique charm. Penrith's streets are lined with various small shops, cafes, and restaurants, each exuding a strong traditional British atmosphere. As I strolled along the cobblestone streets, I occasionally heard the distant church bells, as if traveling back in time to a distant era. The next morning, I woke up early and headed to Penrith Castle. Built in the 14th century, this castle was once the residence of the Duke of York. Although much of it is now in ruins, it still retains its former grandeur and solemnity. Standing on the castle ruins, overlooking the entire town, I couldn't help but marvel at the vicissitudes of history. Afterwards, I visited the Penrith Town Museum, which provides a detailed introduction to the town's history and culture, giving me a deeper understanding of Penrith. The museum also houses a collection of precious artifacts and artworks, which opened my eyes. In the afternoon, I drove to the Lake District National Park.
