Yufuin is a hot spring town in Oita Prefecture, Kyushu, Japan. It boasts abundant hot springs, the idyllic scenery beneath Mount Yufu, the shimmering Kinrinko Lake, and the cafes and sweet shops lining the Yunotsubo streets, attracting many tourists. Because local accommodations are expensive, we opted for a round-trip train trip that day. While the journey between Hakata and Yufuin takes 4-6 hours (including transfers and waiting time), the scenery is worth it!

On the way to the hot springs, you can freely enjoy boiled eggs and beverages. ㅁ Kyushu Oita Prefecture Amagase Chion Falls Yufuin, a famous tourist destination near Fukuoka! I wanted to see some nature instead of the usual city sightseeing, so I visited Chion Falls! I was a little worried because it was a hot summer, but the cool breeze in the shade made it a pleasant stroll. There was also a small temple where I could make a wish for good health. Yufuin, Oita Prefecture in May 𓂃 ✍︎______________________________________📍Ryu no Hige (Bettei Yumuta), a grass-roofed inn I went to a hidden inn in the mountains overlooking Mt. Yufu, which I had always wanted to visit. The air was so clear that I wanted to take a deep breath, the scent of the trees, and the silence. It had been a long time since I had felt "enveloped in the forest" 🌲 - I stayed in the "Kaede" room. It was a luxurious space of 61m2 + 25m2 terrace. Outside the window, you could see the greenery of the four seasons and the majestic figure of Mt. Yufu. There was a semi-open-air bath inside the room, so morning and night, it was time to just soak in the bathtub and face nature. The sounds, smells, and wind were all soothing. - Dinner was served in a private dining room. The creative kaiseki meal, which was carefully prepared using seasonal ingredients including Oita Wagyu beef, was so delicious that I couldn't help but close my eyes. Yufuin and Bungo Mori Depot are really high and blue. It's a really pretty and dreamy Japanese small city. While you're going to Yufuin, I recommend you also go to Bungo Mori Depot, the background of Suzume MoonSquadron. It's so pretty. Yufuin's town itself is so pretty that it's great for a walk in the morning or evening after a drink. If you're going to Fukuoka, I definitely recommend going to Yufuin.

"🚞Yufuin Forest in Yufu City, Kyushu🚞" "Yufuin Forest" is one of Kyushu's characteristic trains🚞 Usually you will take the bus to the last stop, Yufuin Station. The train is very exquisite and has a sense of age. Food is available for purchase on the train so you don't have to worry about going hungry. There are also commemorative stamps and check-in scenes🤳 What I like most is the scenery, people and animals along the way. People waved to us when we passed the middle station 😆 It really feels like being in the world of animation. There are about 70 antique cars on display on the upper and lower floors. Most of the cars are from the 1950s and 1960s, and the latest are probably from the 1970s. You can take pictures of all the cars in the exhibition hall, but you can't touch them ~ after all, they are antiques. One of the most anticipated transportation experiences during my visit to Kyushu, Japan, was taking the popular sightseeing train "Yufuin-no-Mori" from Hakata to Yufuin and Beppu in Oita Prefecture. The booking process for this train is actually very simple. I selected the departure time and seat through the official website of JR Kyushu, and received a confirmation email after payment. After boarding the Yufuin-no-Mori train, the atmosphere in the entire carriage made me feel very relaxed. The interior of the train has a strong European and elegant style. There are many pictures of Yufuin scenery and some exquisite details on the decoration. Walking in it feels like walking in the forest. The overall atmosphere makes people feel very comfortable. There are many facilities on the train and a variety of meals are provided to make the ride more enriching. I specially ordered the "Yufuin Wheeled Rice" for 1,000 yen (tax included). The portion was generous and the taste was quite delicious, which made me even happier when I enjoyed it in the car. Overall, the ride on the Yufuin Forest was very pleasant. Whether it was the comfortable carriage or the beautiful scenery outside the window, this trip was full of memories.
