To fully explore the vast Zhangjiajie National Park (Zhangjiajie National Park) you need 2-3 days. It's no wonder the ticket is valid for 4 days. But if you're short on time, you can visit almost all the important sites in just one day. It's challenging, but possible. I'll tell you how I visited almost everything in just one day. These recommendations are suitable for solo travelers. It's impossible to see everything in one day with a family. I arrived early at 7:30 AM at the east gate from Wulingyuan (Zhangjiajie National Park). The innkeeper bought me tickets, so I didn't waste time buying them. He also showed me the correct route. Important! The route includes the Bailong Elevator. You need to buy a ticket for it separately. After entering the park, take a 10-12-minute shuttle bus ride to the bottom station of the first lift, Tianzi Mountain Cableway. Then take a 5-minute bus ride to the first location with several observation decks. While you can visit them, they aren't the best views. Don't linger there long. It gets much more interesting from there. We board the bus again and reach Wulong Village in 20-25 minutes. Then it's about a 500-meter walk to the second lift, where we descend. The views from the lift are stunning. Then take a half-hour stroll along a picturesque trail with monkeys to the third lift, Huangshi Village. After the climb, you essentially circle all the observation decks with their stunning views. This location is one of the best. Then descend back and walk or take the bus back to the second lift, Wulong Village, and ascend. At the top, take a bus to the Tinqiao stop – the best location, in my opinion. It's home to a large natural bridge and the largest Avatar, Hallelujah Mountain. There's also only one trail, so you won't get lost. After exploring, take a bus to the Bailong Elevator. The elevator takes you down at high speed for a minute, and you can admire the giants from below. Then take a 5-8-minute bus ride to the 10-mile Natural Gallery mini-train. You can either walk or take the train (you need to buy a ticket) along this route and back. I walked (about 3.5 km there and back). Finally, at the start of the mini-train route, board a bus and head back to the east gate to the park's exit. The day one route is complete. I returned around 4:00 PM, having walked about 30 km. I was practically not tired, as the positive emotions from the beauty outweighed my fatigue. Good luck conquering the park!

Wow is Zhangjiajie National Forest Park beautiful. From towering mountains to peaceful streams, gliding through the forest and monkeys running all around you; this place really is like heaven. To start, take the cable car high up into the clouds on Tianzi mountain and then you can walk down all the way to the 10 mile gallery where you can grab your first site of the monkeys and the mountains from below. On top of the mountain, you have an absolutely spectacular view of the valley while on the walk down it is so peaceful with very few people around and some absolutely amazing breathtaking views. Once you’ve completed the 10 mile gallery it’s just a short bus trip over to the Golden stream where again you can walk very peacefully amongst the trees and climb up Huangzi Mountain. Alternatively, for a more relaxed journey, but still with all the spectacular views, you can take a cable car. Overall Zhangjiajie absolutely blew me away way more than I was expecting. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to this fantastic place.
