The Only Place Like It on Earth: Alberobello

Years ago, when I went to Italy, I found this southern town and was immediately attracted by the unique shape of the houses. I couldn't help but marvel at how many different things there are in the world. Alberobello, with its lovely name and lovely houses! The stone houses of Alberobello date back to the 12th century, with most of the current World Heritage Site dating back to the 16th century. These Trulli buildings can be said to be unique in the world, with every brick and tile telling an ancient story. These spire-like buildings, like elf hats, are said to have been built by the people at the time to avoid taxes. When the tax collectors came, the residents would push down the roofs to show that no one lived there, and then they could quickly stack them back up. Trulli Belvedere: Located between Piazza del Popolo and the parking lot, here you can see the whole town. Looking down, the spires are like the hats of little elves falling into the world. Chiesa di San Giorgio Martire: As the largest church in the town, it is both solemn and lovely. The weather vane on the roof quietly watches the changes in the town. Chiesa di Sant'Antonio: The Trulli-style architecture and the Greek-style cross are another highlight of the town. Casa Pezzolla: Once the residence of a wealthy pastor's family, it was one of the few two-story Trulli-style buildings at the time. Strolling along the paths between the houses, you have an unreal feeling, and then the taverns and shops that suddenly appear pull you back to reality.
