If you appreciate history, you will love Perge

💰Entrance Fee: 100 ₺ ⏰ Opening Hours : Open Daily 8 AM–7:45 PM 🚌 Getting there: Take the tram (direction EXPO) and get off at "Aksu" stop. Walk 15-20 minutes, and you're there! 🔆Highlights: ➖the stadium, the columned streets, the agora, the Byzantine gate. The theatre. ➖ do read the panels with the explanations, we found them very well written, and when you read them you really get a feeling for how the people who lived in Perge must have moved through the city going about their daily lives. It is a huge ancient city rooted in the Bronze Age, where you can see magnificent ruins in Aksu district of Antalya. Perge is the city where Apollonious was born, Greek Mathematician Apollonious, and is considered as one of the most beautiful cities of the Hellenistic Period and was the capital of Pamphylia Region. The amphitheater is out of the city where the museum can be entered with a museum pass card, and the entrance is separate. The most remarkable points in the ancient city of Perge are the amphitheater, stadium, big street with columns and The Nympahion of Kestros. Although most of the city is still under the ground, it takes hours to travel. I do not recommend traveling in hot summer times because you may not find a place to stay in the shade except for the trees at the entrance. Every point of Perge Ancient City, where my visit lasted long after Ephesus, was beautiful. I strongly recommend you to visit here. #turkiye #antalya #Perge #romanempire #awesomepic #History #historytour #historylovers #Antikcity
