Must-visit waterfall nearest to Auckland!

Located at the Waikatere Ranges Regional Park, the Karekare falls is an attractive 25m waterfall near the quiet Karekare beach. The nearest town will be Auckland which is a 45mins drive away. After parking at the main carpark, the waterfall can be easily reached via a short 7mins walk on an easy trail, which is wonderful because many amazing sceneries in New Zealand requires long hikes to reach the destination. Swimming is also allowed at the bottom of the waterfall, allowing you to fully immerse in the environment! For those who prefer to walk, there are several walking trails in the area too, where you can enjoy a small and easy walk in the beautiful forested area.
