#baku The Flame Towers are the most modern buildings in the Caucasus, built between 2007 and 2013. The tallest of the three towers is 182 meters high, and the other two are 160 meters high. They are an iconic symbol of the city and look even more beautiful from a distance, especially at night when they are lit up. The Heydar Aliyev Center is one of Baku's main attractions. Renowned British-Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid designed the building with its bold curves and lines, making it worth a visit just to take a photo of the exterior. The design was inspired by the handwritten signature of Heydar Aliyev, the first president of independent Azerbaijan.
