#transportcardguide The villa is something straight out of a fairytale, the concept itself is beautiful (can’t take that away from the owner). The ONLY downside, but somewhat a detrimental one, is that there are large gaps in the roof of the villa, around the entire circumference. Large enough for animals of all kinds to crawl in. On the first night of my stay, I woke up to a tokay gecko about as long as my my forearm and twice as wide on the rooftop. As a Londoner you can imagine how panicked I was, it was 5am and reception wasn’t around to help get it out either. These are also known to bite and have the potential to be aggressive so although the villa itself is beautiful, I decided not to continue the rest of my stay here. I expected insects, wasps, seeing frogs nearby, hearing wildlife at night etc as it is in Ubud, but large lizards inside I can’t handle. The owner should definitely consider closing up the roofs, as it will be a dealbreaker for many. Currently awaiting a refund for the two nights I could not spend there.
