Zhongshan Park in Beihai, Guangxi

There are many Zhongshan Parks all over the country, and Beihai, Guangxi is no exception. Beihai Zhongshan Park is located on Beibu Gulf Middle Road in the center of Beihai. It was built in 1928 and was named after Sun Yat-sen. It is the oldest park in Beihai. In 1993, it was rebuilt into a comprehensive park with complete functions, covering an area of 12.14 hectares. It is currently the largest park in Haicheng District, Beihai, with the theme of leisure and fitness, cultural science popularization, and ecological tourism. It has been open to the public for free since 2003. Walking into the park, you feel like you are walking into a forest. The whole park is full of trees, with tall banyan trees, white magnolia trees, camphor trees, king coconut trees, and other precious ancient trees, many of which are hundreds of years old. There are also tropical forests, coconut forests, palm forests, vines, camellias, peonies, and other plants. In different seasons, various flowers bloom, and birds can be heard everywhere.
