Booti Booti Hill Hiking Trail

#australiatrip The Booti Booti Hill Hiking Trail is a rewarding adventure through the heart of Booti Booti National Park. The trail starts from Seven Mile Beach near Forster, climbing the northern side of Booti Hill through a forest of twisted eucalypts. This hike offers a mix of challenging inclines with steps and more gentle strolls, providing breathtaking views of the ocean and the chance to spot wildlife. It's particularly scenic for those who enjoy a swim at Elizabeth Beach halfway through the loop, where the trail emerges from the dense coastal scrub into open vistas. This trail is not just a physical journey but a visual feast, connecting with the serene shores of Wallis Lake and offering glimpses of diverse flora like lichens and banksias. Whether you're starting from the Ruins Campground, Elizabeth Beach, or the Sunset Picnic Area, the trail provides an immersive experience with nature, making it ideal for bird watching, especially during whale migration season. The loop, which can be walked in either direction, is well-maintained, though sections can be slippery after rain, so good footwear is recommended.

The bridge connecting Foster and Tuncurry towns, like a white dragon lying across the entrance of Wallis Lake, is spectacular. It seems unbelievable to come to Foster without walking on Foster Bridge. Standing on the bridge and looking down at the scenery on both sides, one side is a yacht wharf with yachts of different sizes moored. On the other side is a white shallow beach, where tourists swim, dive, and fish.

New South Wales' Foster town and the neighboring town of Tuncurry, separated by Wallis Lake, form a unique bay tourism area. The two bay towns are connected by a bridge, making transportation convenient. Foster is located on the south bank, while Tuncurry is on the north bank, and the two towns are connected by a bridge that is 600 meters long. The two towns themselves are also picturesque, and even just walking around town is enjoyable.

Don't get me started, as a big international traveller you can understand when I say I have the travel bug, but with national and state borders closed. Nothing can stop you, just take your car and hit the road. Despite I have been around a lot in my home state of NSW, the unforseen circumstances allowed me the privilege to explore even more parts of NSW and to places I haven't yet been to. Just look at the breath taking photos of parts of NSW I've now been to. Words can't describe how lucky we are to live and to have this nearby. You just gotta get out and go do it, I have been going solo and doing hikes at amazing places esp. in the Mid North Coast like Forster and Seal Rocks. Down the south coast, amazing places that aren't touristy like Stanwell Tops and Bombo (Kiama was overcrowded with Sydney tourists). Parts of the Mid North Coast like the 4th photo I have, there weren't any tourists other myself and the locals, doing a hike like up to the peak of the mountain was rewarded with views like that and great to support local businesses. I even explored more of my home in the Greater Newcastle Area, it's full of national parks and state conservation areas that I never been to and it was amazing to go to. Who really needs to go overseas now? Honestly get out of your house, jump in the car and away you go! I've already got two separate road trips planned up the North Coast in the next two weeks! Stay local and support local 👍 Come aboard the journey @travellerswill #triplocal #triplocal
