What to do in Chengdu if you only have one day?

Chengdu is a great city to visit, with lots of delicious food, beautiful scenery, historical sites, and adorable giant pandas. But if you only have one day, it's not impossible to have fun. The best solution is to stay at the Grand Hyatt Chengdu. The hotel is right across from Taikoo Li, and Chunxi Road is just downstairs. Whether you want to take the subway or a taxi, go shopping or visit attractions, it's all very convenient. But if you only have one day, you can just stay in the hotel. The hotel is on floors 40–60. I stayed in a Grand King Room, which comes with Grand Club privileges. The Grand Club is on floors 50 and above, with better views. This is another advantage of being in a quiet place in the middle of the hustle and bustle. You can quietly overlook the bustling and vibrant city center, feeling detached from the mundane world.   ▪️Decor The hotel has a new Chinese style, with classical arches, lanterns, and shadow walls, combined with new marble and black, white, and gold colors, creating a luxurious yet warm artistic space. For girls who like to take photos, you don't have to worry about your boyfriend or travel buddy's aesthetics anymore. Any corner or casual shot is a masterpiece.   ▪️Room facilities I booked a Grand King Room, which comes with Grand Club privileges. Most importantly, the view from above the 50th floor is amazing. I have to praise the bedding, which is super soft and skin-friendly. Lying on the bed and looking out through the large floor-to-ceiling windows, I felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. The bathroom has a large bathtub, and the toiletries are from Guerlain, which is understated luxury. The tea provided in the room is not tea bags but tea leaves, and there is a teapot for brewing tea, which really brings the Chinese style to the details. Of course, there is also a minibar with soft drinks.   ▪️Dining The hotel has a restaurant and a tea house, offering authentic spicy Sichuan cuisine, refreshing and sophisticated cocktails, and a pot of green tea with some pastries for a leisurely afternoon. You must try the buffet breakfast here, which is rich in variety and delicious, especially the freshly made noodles, which are amazing.   ▪️Other The hotel has a gym and a swimming pool with a starry sky ceiling. This time, I also received a ticket to the Sichuan Opera Theater, where I drank tea and watched magic and acrobatics, experiencing the comfortable lifestyle of the locals in Chengdu. It was especially impressive to see the Sichuan opera face-changing with fire for the first time. I heard that this year there will be the tallest Christmas tree in Chengdu and a high-altitude New Year's Eve party on the helipad on the 63rd floor. It sounds so romantic, and I must come back to stay again to join in the fun.
