Phuping Palace is located on Doi Buak Ha, Suthep Subdistrict, Mueang District, Chiang Mai Province. The way to Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is about 4 km further up to the palace. This palace was built in 1961 and covers an area of ​​about 400 rai. About 200 rai is open to tourists. It is used as a residence on occasions when the King visits Chiang Mai to visit people in the northern region and to receive royal guests who visit Thailand. The palace consists of a wooden wing house, a two-storey reception building, a phamon pavilion and a fern garden, a reservoir and fountain, Sirisong Phuping Palace, Phayak Sathit Palace, Phrueksa Wisutthikun Palace, Suwaree Garden (Rose Garden), and a Buddha Hall.
