Night tour of Chiang Mai Old City - Golden Leaf Tree and White Elephant - Few tourists and brightly lit Wat Lok Molee

Strictly speaking, Wat Lok Molee is outside the old city of Chiang Mai, facing the moat. Wat Lok Molee was once one of the important temples of the Lanna Dynasty. It is said to have been built in the 14th century and was also a place where high monks preached. After several changes, it is no longer a popular place. When I first arrived in Chiang Mai, I searched online for a few temples worth visiting, and this temple on the edge of the old city was not included. In the evening, I went to the night market outside the north gate (Ganpa Gate) of Chiang Mai Old City to find delicious food. I was hit by the complex taste and lively atmosphere of the night market. After hesitating for a long time, I couldn't decide where to sit. Holding a little bit of the mood to escape from the noise, I walked in the direction of Nimman Road to the west. Suddenly a brilliant light burst out at the intersection, a beautiful and confusing building. Under the night, both surprised and praised, regardless of the origin, first stroll in it. The first thing that comes to the face is the golden leaf tree, which contrasts with the white elephant next to it, and I don't know how to move. After checking, I learned that it was a famous temple. Locals often come to pray, and there are relatively few tourists. It was already eight o'clock in the evening, the lights in the temple were bright, but there were few pedestrians. Only one or two locals were devoutly worshiping Buddha. Near the exit, a few local girls surrounded the Buddha niche in a pavilion, dancing a dance of unknown origin. In sharp contrast with the nearby night market, if you eat too much delicious food in the night market, it is better to walk a few more steps and go to Wat Lok Molee at night.
