A Spirit-filled Hotel in Chiang Mai

A niche hotel guarded by a tamarind tree in Chiang Mai, I have two particular favorites that I've revisited. One is Raya, and the other is Tamarind Village. The design styles are completely different, yet they share the same owner. I've introduced Raya before, now let me talk about Tamarind Village. This is a well-established hotel that has been open for twenty-one years. It was designed by a local Thai designer. The location of the hotel is excellent, right in the center of the old city. The entrance is obscured by a bamboo grove and is unassuming. But once inside, it is quiet and comfortable, very much a relaxing holiday spot. Mostly, you'll find foreign families staying here. The hotel's courtyard features a huge tamarind tree. I don't know its age, but it's definitely centuries old. The canopy shelters the guest rooms and the yard, and the trunk is unbelievably thick. In the morning, the sunlight filtering through the leaves, casting beautiful patterns on the ground, is truly stunning. I've noticed that many hotels in Chiang Mai have a beautiful tree. And the designers cleverly integrate the building with the tree. Giving the best spot in the hotel to the tree, for everyone to admire. Whether it's the atrium of Raya, the fields of Four Seasons, or the courtyard of Tamarind Village. It's all the same. The hotel rooms do show signs of age, and the soundproofing is not great. The size is a drawback, with suites only about 50 square meters. But everything that's needed is there, well-maintained, and clean. A hotel that has been polished by time has a special texture. Here, you can see that many designers from China have come to 'borrow' ideas. A very familiar feeling. The service at the hotel is really good. They even helped to deliver something we left behind to the next hotel. The breakfast is also decent, not as lavish as Raya's, but still good. The price of this hotel is not very expensive, with basic rooms just over a thousand yuan. I've found that hotels in Thailand pursue different things than those in China. They don't chase after Dyson hair dryers, branded toiletries, thread count of bed sheets... Instead, they offer just the right service, a vacation atmosphere, and design. Tamarind Village really achieves this. If you want to stay in a hotel with a sense of design and a holiday atmosphere, In a great location, convenient for getting around, And you don't mind the soundproofing and room size, In the old city, Tamarind Village is definitely the first choice. A hotel guarded by a big tree, filled with spirit🌳
