Chiang Mai University and the night market are part of the leisure life in Chiang Mai

Chiang Mai University was established in 1964 as the first institution of higher education in Northern Thailand and is ranked second in Thailand. Covering an area of 14 square kilometers, the university has 107 departments, with more than 18,000 students and over 2,000 faculty members. Yingluck Shinawatra, a former Prime Minister of Thailand, is an alumna of this university. I took an electric cart tour around the campus. Exploring the leisurely Chiang Mai night market, I experienced the local nightlife. The night market features handmade crafts by locals, a variety of Northern Thai delicacies, as well as clothing and bags from China. Many European and American tourists shop here.
