Stalactite cave covered by light show

Andalucia Tour Extra ~ Gibraltar “St. Michael’s Caves is a network of caves made of limestone, located on the Rock of Gibraltar. St. Michael’s Cave is located on the so-called Upper Rock. But the visual spectacle really has to be seen to be appreciated. From giant stalagmites and stalactites to real cave openings and almost theater-sized sections, the views that await can be jaw-dropping. On our visit, we only had an hour due to a very busy schedule, but could have easily spent 2-3 hours more as there was so much to see. It didn't distract us. As I suspected, you feel like you are deep inside the earth, especially with the lighting. Very dramatic and memorable. As we planned we took many photos of the experience, but even as a photographer you can never truly capture an experience that is filled with feelings beyond the purely visual. After leaving the caves, we were also lucky enough to see the island’s well-known inhabitants – monkeys.
