A New Family-Style Izakaya in Tsim Sha Tsui

Today, I went with friends to try an upstairs izakaya🍶~ The decor is elegant and tidy, and the owner is very hospitable and polite🙇~ To cleanse our palates, we ordered a spinach and fried tofu salad🥗! In addition to spinach, there were other salad greens🥬~ Paired with my favorite fried tofu, it was smoky and chewy~ We also ordered some skewers🍢, one of which was shrimp🦐 wrapped in bacon~ The bacon was rich in flavor, and it went well with the shrimp~ I like chicken gizzards🐔 for their crunchy texture~ The skewers came with some yuzu salt, making them savory and refreshing~ Each of us ordered a hand roll, mine was A5 Wagyu beef🐂~ It also had some sweet onions, mixed with a sauce💦~ It was flavorful enough without the need for extra soy sauce~ There was also a left-eye flounder edge hand roll🐟~ The grilled flounder edge was rich in flavor, a must-try! Their karaage chicken was outstanding👍~ It was served fresh and crispy, with a very thin batter🍤~ It's one of the best I've had so far~ Their foie gras toast seemed to be half-fried🦆~ The foie gras was not too oily, with a rich and aromatic fat, without any gamey taste~ Their sushi set had 8 pieces🍣~ The red vinegar rice they used was very fragrant, different from the usual white rice outside🍙~ It would be even better if there were more varieties~ My friend's birthday was coming up, and it just so happened that they had a new sushi cake🎂, so we ordered one~ The red vinegar rice was topped with salmon, and tuna was rolled into a flower🌹, creating a full sense of ceremony~ For larger groups, there's also a four-person portion available, which can be ordered on the spot or in advance👌~ There are many Japanese restaurants around, but this one has a comfortable environment and a warm, family feel🏡~ It's very suitable for a group of friends to chat over drinks🍻~ And as the night goes on, the place gets busier, so it's better to make a reservation to secure a spot~ 📍Yifangtang Izakaya 9th Floor, Blue Horse Commercial Building, 12-12A Houfu Street, Tsim Sha Tsui
