Once in a while, on a Friday, it’s essential to indulge in a full-body massage. Luckily, Hong Kong is home to many massage parlors. The one I keep hearing about is the SSTH Spa. In desperate need of a massage, my friends and I decided to treat ourselves. Upon arrival, the staff immediately recognized us because my friend had called to book a room. They addressed us by my last name and guided us to the preserved room, where we could take a relaxing hot shower before our massage. We chose to start with an hour-long facial treatment, followed by a two-hour body massage. I was eager to relieve the knots and tightness in my shoulders, which seem to resurface as I get older—go figure! My masseuse was excellent, applying just the right amount of pressure and knowing where to concentrate. A refreshment and herbal tea are the closing marks of our visit. The relief level of this treatment was high, and I realized how necessary it is to treat my body with a quality massage—especially since I’m always on my feet in this bustling city. #香港好去處
