In July 2022, the Hong Kong Palace Museum exhibited a total of 914 cultural relics from the Palace Museum in Beijing, 166 of which are national first-class cultural relics. The entrance of the Hong Kong Palace Museum is designed with reference to the decoration of the Palace Museum in Beijing. Passing through the main entrance, 10 vermilion welcome doors echo the gates of the Forbidden City. Each door is distributed with 81 glass door nails in 9 rows and 9 columns, which can create different visual effects under different lighting.
