It is recommendable to visit during summer time!🤩 To reach this magnificent canyon, you'll typically start your journey from the town of Egilsstaðir in East Iceland. From Egilsstaðir, you'll drive east on Route 1 (also known as the Ring Road) for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach a turnoff for Road 931. Follow Road 931 for about 24 kilometers until you reach a parking area near the Jökulsá á Dal river. From there, you can embark on a short hike to the canyon, which usually takes around 20-30 minutes, depending on your pace.
