Island feels

Jeju is an island south of the Korean peninsula that can be accessed through ferry or plane. Plane is a more popular choice and it's an easy 45 mins flight from Seoul. There are often cheap deals and there are multiple frequencies per hour as it's one of the busiest flight routes in the world. Once on the island you may want to rent a car as the island is quite big (73km by 31km) and if you want to venture out it can get lengthy with the bus. However if you're planning to stay in one spot, then the bus network is quite extensive. The island is known for its outdoor activities such as hiking on its most famous mountain, Hallasan. Additionally, the real star of the show are the multiple clean turquoise colored beaches that line the island. Some of these beaches disappear during high tide which makes it even more cool. Nonetheless these beaches are clean and the water is warm. The turquoise color really transports you to some tropical island you often forget you're in Korea. Jeju is also known for its cuisine. Jeju black pig is a delicacy of the island, known for its chewy texture and unique taste. Of course, one cannot forget about seafood. Abalones on particular are plentiful and are prepared in various forms. Comparatively they are also quite cheap and certainly very fresh!
