The site of the temporary headquarters of the Nationalist defenders during the Battle of Jinan

To the north of the Moon Pavilion at Daming Lake in Jinan, there is a row of antique-style buildings. People might think it's a teahouse when they see the plaque above the door. In fact, beneath this so-called teahouse lies a piece of Jinan's modern history: during the Battle of Jinan, Wang Yaowu, the Chairman of Shandong Province and the Commanding General, set up his wartime headquarters underneath this building. Passing north through the Moon Pavilion, in front of the 'Moonlight Tea Fragrance' door, there is a small path leading northeast, winding and quiet. After walking through the narrow, low, and dim corridor inside the door, on the north side is a wall built of bluestone. In the past, just outside the wall was the moat under the old North Water Gate of Jinan. On the south side of the corridor is a small room of about 20 square meters, which is the old site of Wang Yaowu's temporary headquarters office. Today, inside this site, there is a table and two chairs, with a combat map spread out on the table, and old photos of the Battle of Jinan hanging on the walls around, introducing the entire process of the battle.
