The Daxiangguo Temple in Kaifeng is an ancient monastery that has stood for a thousand years

🌈🌈🌈 The Daxiangguo Temple features a traditional Chinese symmetrical layout, preserving the rich architectural style of the Ming and Qing dynasties. It faces south from the north and is divided into three courtyards. The main structures include the main gate, the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Mahavira Hall, the Octagonal Glazed Hall, the Sutra Tower, etc. The halls on the east and west sides of the main hall and the cloisters stand opposite each other. The Sutra Tower and the Mahavira Hall are both Qing dynasty buildings, with double-eaved hip-and-gable roofs, layered brackets, and covered with yellow-green glazed tiles. The hall is surrounded by a white stone balustrade around the terrace. The Octagonal Glazed Hall rises high in the center, surrounded by a gallery, with glazed tile pieces covering the top, and bells hanging at the corners. Inside the hall, there is a seven-meter-tall wooden sculpture of the four-faced, thousand-armed and thousand-eyed Guanyin of Esoteric Buddhism, which is completely gilded. It is said to have been carved from a single ginkgo tree, and is exceptionally exquisite.
