Shwedagon Pagoda Klonghae

Wat Khlong Hae, Songkhla Province 🙏The highlight is the replica of Shwedagon Pagoda. Although Shwedagon Pagoda Khlong Hae is just a replica, it is just as beautiful as the real thing. The art and architecture combine Thai and Burmese. The front is a Thai-style arched door, with naga statues on both sides. The Shwedagon Pagoda is surrounded by giant, naga, lion statues, and Buddha images for each day of birth. 🏝️Near Shwedagon Pagoda, next to Khlong U Taphao, there is a mound of earth that looks like an island in the middle of the water called Khok Nok Khum, which has a legend about Pu Som Fao Sap. 🌿According to legend, when the Phra Borommathat in Nakhon Si Thammarat was built, villagers put their treasures, gems, silver, and gold in a boat to be enshrined in the Phra Borommathat. However, when they heard that the Phra Borommathat was finished and no more treasures could be enshrined in the Phra Borommathat, everyone was heartbroken and decided not to bring the treasures back.
