Kuala Lumpur Sightseeing: City Walk

Just a 10-minute walk from the LRT Masjid Jamek station, there's a vast green square in the heart of the old town. Here, you'll find a flagpole standing at approximately 100 meters tall, said to be the tallest in the world, proudly flying the Malaysian flag. Surrounding the square are many historical buildings, including the Sultan Abdul Samad Building (the former Federal Secretariat), the City Gallery (the former Printing Office), the Textile Museum (the former Federal Railway Headquarters), St. Mary's Cathedral, and the Royal Selangor Club, all of which feature beautiful onion-shaped domes. To capture the full view of the long Sultan Abdul Samad Building, you'll need to take a photo from the far end of the grassy square. Although it might be a bit angled, there's a spot where you can see the Petronas Twin Towers, KL Tower, and the clock tower of this building together, so be sure to look for it.
